Glad we tried, I do appreciate a classic- style casual restaurant. Cocktails and appetizer were well timed, as to not rush the relaxed dining experience.
We were looking for something outside a chain restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The experience and atmosphere was so good we felt like it could be our go to spot for date night. The location is unassuming so you could think that your at the wrong location. Walking in we fell in love with the old charm and the piano player providing great ambiance. The food was perfectly cooked as ordered (the mashed sweet potatoes surprise hit), service was great and the experience fairly reasonable price wise. We had prime rib & a filet with two sides rolls & salads for under $100. The only miss of the evening was our water & soda drinks were never refilled even though the server checked on us numerous times and offered adult beverages. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy more great food.
Brittney (our Wait Staff) was absolutely wonderful and very attentive. The decor was very rustic and a little worn but cozy! It actually reminded us of The Northampton Inn in, Northampton, MA which we visited frequently. The food was delicious and plentiful. The parking left a lot to be desired but we will go again.
The restaurant is beautiful. Only there are too many items missing from the limited menu that are not advised when the menu is delivered to the table creating expectations that won't be fulfilled.
We went on a recommendation from some friends for my parents 60-year anniversary and had a great time. Food was excellent and value was great.
Went out with my sis and parents. Called Friday and was able to get reservations easily for a Saturday night. Service was great. Ambiance was outstanding; we loved the pianist. I had the prime rib. It was excellent. My dad had the rack of lamb and loved it. He said the price was much better than expected. My only complaint would be the loaded potato… it seemed a little old and the handicap ramp has a few lips and bumps making it hard for my mom to navigate. Bathrooms were clean, but the larger stall didn’t lock. Would definitely come again!
We had one server for the entire room, however we were certainly enjoying the wonderful view of the garden and didnât mind waiting. Our food was outstanding! Overall our experience was amazing and we will be back!
It has been years since I last been at the Hilltop, and now that I think about it, I suppose the food never left a lasting impression. The food was VERY underwhelming and under seasoned. When a restaurant has a very select list of entrées to choose from, I expect expert execution of those said dishes⦠after all, these are the dishes that you should do better than anyone else, within reason. The drinks were good, the place seemed clean, everyone was friendly, but the food was just so bland.
Another amazing night at the hilltop with a vegan meal that wash fit for an absolute vegan king or queen. Chef Chad, as usual, went above and beyond our expectations with a dazzling meal that are new friends to hilltop absolutely loved and admired. The she crab soup along with all of the other meals were absolutely amazing.. Thanks again as we become a vocal voice box for the quality, graciousness and friendliness of your fine staff along with your culinary expertise in preparation of our meals⦠You folks are simply amazingâ¦.
Wonderful experience. My family knows the owner and staff really well. They’re so kind and accommodating. We last minute had to find a venue for my sister and brother in-law’s 10 year anniversary dinner because the original place we booked with gave us so many problems. We called the hilltop and they made it work for us, they were amazing! We really appreciate them so much! The food is great, the place is really cool, and the staff is so kind!
