I ate dinner with my wife there, the wait for the food was about 15 min. After we ate, I went to use the restroom and you could see in the kitchen. I observed an employee handling ready to eat food with no gloves on , against Florida food safety standards. So I went to express my concerns to the manager, and shr told me, IF she washed her hands, she didn't need gloves, I responded, glad food safety says you have to wear gloves. Well it happened the owner was standing there, he yelled at me, said I am the owner, get out of here.
Love the lunch specials. Service is very slow but the food was hot and fresh. Small little restaurant in a shopping plaza. Food was good and We will eat here again.
This was unreservedly the worst meal I’ve ever had. I came by this local spot tonight after years of driving by. I figured it was time I gave it a try. That was a massive mistake on my part. It’s a small place with plenty of waitstaff yet somehow it took about 10 minutes of sitting there before someone brought me a menu and asked what I wanted to drink. It took probably another 10 for my appetizer and another 30 for my meal. I got calamari and it was disgusting. They were large breaded rings that tasted like 3 day old fish. The calamari was very stringy and somewhat elastic. I took 2 bites and that was it. When my chicken parm finally came it was cut up into little strips. The waitress told me “that’s just how we do it here”. Based on how the sauce and cheese looked I think it’s more likely they cut it up like that to reheat it under the broiler. I also asked about the sauce that tasted like it came from a can. She assured me it is made fresh every day but If that’s true then that’s sadder than it coming from a can. I took a couple bites but I couldn’t eat it. I have never in my life not eaten food I was served at a restaurant but I just couldn’t stomach it. The kicker though was the bill. They charged me $30 for one beer and food I didn’t eat. I’m absolutely disgusted DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
I ordered delivery so I know that plays a part but the food was mediocre. The Alfredo sauce tastes just like the stuff from a jar, which tastes fine but isn’t worth paying extra money for. The garlic knots were hard, even though they were still warm. The chicken in the Alfredo tasted nice, just a little dry. The side salad was a handful of lettuce, one HUGE chunk of tomato, and some sad looking olives. The ranch dressing was good. The fried ravioli was pretty good, as was their marinara. All in all probably not worth the price, maybe the pizza is good.
Good food and atmosphere. Wait staff friendly as well. Will be back again!
We ordered calzones tonight, they were delicious! We will definitely return. 5 Stars!
We ordered calzones and garlic knots tonight, they were both delicious. Reasonable prices and friendly service. We will go back.
Quality Italian foodI've tried a variety of their dishes and it's always a home run. Although nothing compares to grandmom's sauce from yesteryear ?Even if I'm just getting a pizza I'm leaving with an order of meatballs too. Thanks Lucas for making Clay county a little tastier.
I had have been eating at Lucas since I moved back from Niceville and have never been disappointed but tonight I was highly disappointed I ordered a meatball sub to go and drank Perone Italian Beer while waiting . Got home and opened my sub to eat and parts of it were so burnt I couldn’t eat it. This has has affected whether I will eat there or not again.
There was a homeless looking individual spinning a sign offering a lunch deal for 2 slices of pizza and a drink for $4, not a bad deal... When you first arrive you are greeted by lots of old farm equipment and an old sled hanging from the ceiling. I told the waitress we would like 2 of the specials with waters. We sat and waited for over 20 minutes for 4 slices..When the slices were served to be honest I was not visually impressed, the crust was paper thin, soft and soaked with either grease or butter. The cheese was cheap and blah tasting, no pepperoni to be found. We had to use the bulk of the napkins (7) provided to soak up the grease on the pizza. The sauce was not present and the overall taste was like soggy cardboard. Wait staff was polite but not kind and the manager was a little less than polite but not rude. Would recommend another establishment for food.
