I went in because it stated there were Vegan options but when I asked about it the young lady at the counter stated …. Uummm this is a Mexican bakery, we don’t have those things. Really? Then why do you advertise that you do?
My mom had an eye appointment in the same plaza, so my daughter and I decided to check out the bakery. By far the BEST chocolate cake I have ever had before! And the Man in charge or owner was so friendly! I can't wait to get back over to Orange Park to get some more cake and try other items! ???
On Sunday around 1:20pm/1:30pm I walked into the building with every intent on purchasing food for lunch. When I walked in the place smelled extremely musky, it was hot and stuffy, and I was repulsed by the gentleman behind the counter making a sandwich. Not only was he sweating profusely over the food he was preparing but he wasn't wearing gloves while handling food. The manager who was up front dealing with the register was wearing gloves and another woman behind the counter was cleaning the meat slicer while wearing gloves and, yet, the one person handling food WAS NOT. And not only was he not wearing gloves but while he was taking the plate to the table he wiped the sweat from his forehead and still had the food in his hand. He then grabbed a bag of chips with the hand he used to wipe the sweat and handed the chips to the customers sitting down. I've worked in the food industry for years and that's not something I take lightly. Imagine how shocked I was to find out the gentleman is the General Manager... I won't be back to purchase anything in the future.
Food is really good and so are the sweets. Workers are beyond friendly too. I’ll be back ^-^
The chocolate dipped strawberries were lovely. I wasn't impressed with the coffee or pastries. I had a canoli. My companion had a lemon cake slice. Neither tasted fresh.
The personality and the Aesthetic is so open and alive! The food is amazing and not to expensive ? 10/10 one of my top 3 places for tea and cake time :D
i wish there was vegan items in the case to pick up then and there, the cashier told me you now have to place custom orders for vegan items due to lack of demand for them. i understand that from a business standpoint but it makes it a bit difficult for some customers, as i was only shopping for myself for a single serving or to try an assortment of small items, and have no need for a full size cake or half dozen cupcakes. disappointed since i made a special trip there but the cashier was very pleasant and sweet and apologized for the inconvenience, i will most likely come back to make a custom order for my birthday!!!
Dear owner of la dulce,I as a customer not only was witness to emotional and abuse from your highest manager towards the barista and the smaller manger but the language was just profound. Came in to enjoy a great sandwich that Miss Casey makes for my lunches and all I hear if her being yelled at and talked down to like a child. The shore bakery was filled with the manager miss angels harsh words towards her employees. Every other word was a curse word or shooting them down with negative comments. I also overheard miss angel saying she shouldn’t have to change her Oreo cheesecake just because 1 customer (me) posted a negative review saying I couldn’t taste Oreo. Every visit I come here if miss angel is working it’s just a negative experience. I think you need to have a meeting about what a real company team looks like and should address another in a professional manner instead of like high school children.
I spent three years in Naples. I’m not saying this is your corner cafe in Italy, but, it’s on point. Cannoli’s, best we’ve had since the mother land. Cakes, delicious. A bit heavy on the icing, but, the girls told us to be prepared. Cappuccino, nice. We will be back, maybe once or more a week.
Delicious cafe con leche. My favorite was the pastrami sandwich y el Dulce de coco. The service is very attentive and food come out very quick.
