ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! the Oxtails are the bomb. the chicken curry was fabulous. the beet garnish was good! very good food. Awesome service. Friendly, knowledgeable, staff. we had a great time. The atmosphere was perfect and the food is not pricey at all. portions are large! we will be back
I don't even know where to begin! My experience was absolutely 100 percent PHENOMENAL! Let's start from the top!!The place is located in a shopping plaza, doesn't look like much from the outside but once you enter the decor is sooo lively and inviting.My waitress, Tesha greeted me and sat me down immediately. Her personality and service were top notch. She was friendly and very inviting and made me feel welcomed which goes a loooooong way.This was my first visit to this hidden gem so I got the full experience... appetizer, entree, dessert, cocktail and a regular drink. The food was soooooooo good. It was hot, fresh, well prepared seasoned appropriately and presented very beautifully.The owner came out and checked on me and the other patrons. He was also very friendly and made me feel like I mattered as a customer.I ordered the Barbados combo platter with coconut shrimp and jerk wings, the Trinidad and Tobago Curry chicken w/ Rice and Peas and Cabbage, Strawberry swirl cheesecake, Kingston Rum Punch and a pineapple lemonade. If love had a flavor. This is where you find it. Im here for a visit and had a taste for some good Caribbean food. I got so lucky because Irie Diner was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Wings to start. They were awesome because they're not fried, but real traditional jerk wings and they don't cover up the true flavor (not drowned in sauce). I has the in-house made pineapple lemonade. Finally I had the Curry Goat with beans and rice with cabbage (so fresh). Here is the thing, the Curry Goat came with the Gravy on the side. I love it.... They are telling you, daring you to taste and experience the true flavor. All that and the service was incredibly good. I loved my experience and I hope you do as well.

smaller menu but it's only the best! talkative, knowledgeable, & friendly staff (Shana was very sweet & helpful) and the food was just delicious (oxtail, coconut shrimp, plantains, beans & rice, cabbage and sodas). will certainly be returning to try more items.
Highly recommend this place! Had an amazing experience here. The service was awesome. Our servers name was Shauna. She made great suggestions and was very kind. We also met one of the owners, Peter. He was very friendly and nice. The chef was another owner who we didn’t meet, but the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the conch fritters to start. Super good, try it with the spicy sauce. We also ordered the oxtail and the Jamaican jerk chicken (pictured). Both meats were tender and had excellent flavors. We will definitely be coming back!
Greeted by owner him self, beautiful place calm relaxing ambiance. The food is the best Caribbean food I have eaten in Jacksonville. Will definitely be back.
We love this restaurant! Always reminds me of being in Jamaica! The owner is amazing and comes out to great everyone when he gets a chance. Positive atmosphere and vibe!I finally tried something new (I always get the oxtails) and I was not disappointed! I have the Puerto Rico Shrimp in curry sauce. Soooo good!
