I cannot understand how this place rates 3.9 stars. I've been eating at this particular IHOP for as long as it's been here, and over the past 6-9 months, it has steadily declined, including cleanliness, service, employee courtesy and especially the quality of food preparation. I kept giving it more time and chances to improve, hoping it would revert back to my favorite breakfast/pancake house. Nope, hasn't happened! I went there last night, 5-26-2022, and I assure you, it was my last visit. Terrible food, apathetic service...my soft-scrambled eggs were actually brown!! They looked and smelled like they were baked (not cooked) on a dirty grill and slathered with old french fry or fish cooking grease. I asked to speak to a manager, only to be told none was available. When I asked who was in charge, my server told me she was! I was dumbfounded!!! So, I paid my tab, actually tipped my server (and I use that term loosely) 24%, and I left before I said something really nasty. Most definitely my last trip to IHOP at 315 Blanding Blvd in Orange Park, Fl.
I have been coming to this location for a few years. Sunday was my son birthday and Mother's Day. He wanted to celebrate by going here too eat his favorite pancakes. I have no clue who was cooking but literally everything was burnt! Bread was black on My daughter burger. Pancakes were burnt and tasteless. Omelets were horrible. The only thing that was good was the drinks. Will not be back to this location for a while. Hopefully, they will have a different cook. Definitely a wasted over 100.00 and the waitress was rude to my bonus son just because he was a different nationality then us and with a accent. Rule number one if you don't understand what a person is saying then ask. Don't assume and be rude.
I wasn't to thrilled with the place. I tried to order online for pickup only to find out you can only use a card you can't pay cash at the store that way. So I called and it rang and rang and rang so I live 15 min away with the phone still ringing I got in my car and drove all the way there and no one had answered the entire time. I got there and walked up and 2 employees were sitting on the bench I go in and 3 employees are standing there talking and laughing the place was not busy at all. I walk in and no one asks me anything. So I walk up to the register and said I would like to place a carry out order. They were not busy and order was not big. Half hour later after someone had come in and got there order already and left I asked about mine. 15 min later it comes out. So it took 45 min for 2 orders of pancakes bacon and eggs and hashbrowns I get home there's one syrup for 2 stacks of pancakes no plastic ware no napkins no butter no nothing. So I will definitely not be going there again. That was my first time and my last!!
Although the wait staff at the IHOP on Blanding Blvd, OP was short staff they did not miss a beat in giving quality service from our waitress Maria or the Mgr Jasmine who was busing tables and playing hostess. The food was hot and delicious and the wait timeWas not long. I would recommend this location to anyone
There was 1 hostess/server. A party of 12 came in right before our party of 2. The cooking staff hustled. They worked hard. She (the hostess) tried to keep drinks filled and food out as it came.I did order sirloin tips and eggs. The pic is how it came out. They did being the sirlion tips out shortly after I mentioned it.
2 stars for the waitress.The food was horrible, half cooked bacon. I ordered regular French toast, my bf ordered the blueberry French toast, the blueberry French toast was regular French toast with 4 blueberries thrown on top? the eggs were...blah, my coffee mug was dirty my knife was dirty... ugh.
Worst waitress ever she was so rude the entire time and not just to us either. To all her tables. Some examples is her telling a customer “um no you can’t have that” constantly but very rude. We asked her for something and she said “ im getting it can you give me a minute” never will I ever go back that because I was ready to get really mouthy.
Wow! I would rate the experience from last night's visit more than 10 stars if that was an option. From the head server/hostess to our server to the cook, the customer service and the meal were incredible! After a very long day (week), it was so refreshing to be treated with so much kindness and attentiveness, while also enjoying a wonderful meal.What magnifies the experience is the fact that the restaurant is short-staffed and handles a constant flow of Door Dash orders. Even so, the wait for food was extremely reasonable and the staff provided amazing communication.
I would give 1 star but I received amazing customer service. Asita is very kind and attentive. The food was awful though.Changed to 1 star. It smells really bad in here this time.
Our waitress was not great. But Elizabeth saved the day and took care of us, even when we were not her table. Kudos to her...we will ask for her when we come back.
