We ordered two take out chicken dinners last Thursday night (5/26/22)We are always happy with the food quality and service.My chicken meal came with two sides. I chose French fries and corn. My girlfriend had the chicken meal with green beans mac & cheese and a side salad with ranch dressing.We ate our meals. Approximately 1-1/2 hrs. later I was burning up and my stomach was doing the dance (like the time I had tainted shellfish). She felt fine with no issues.I hadn’t eaten anything the whole day except 2 glazed donuts and a cup of coffee. So am sure the corn was the culprit. It have been to and from the walk in cooler too many times. I remember thinking to myself - this corn tastes metallic and I shouldn’t it. I have no proof - but I wouldn’t have the corn ever again.I have been sick ever since and drinking the pink stuff all weekend. I can’t keep anything down and have had all the other joys of food poisoning.I am shacks and feel very weak.
Always enjoy my Sonny’s. Sliced pork and fries… extra extra crispy…Pork has always been hot and juicy. Especially in the am. Fries come out just as I like them. Today was no exception.Never have been disappointed with this location and now… I need a nap.
Ordered online, called when I arrived, and they said they would be out with my food. 25 minutes later, I had to call again, and they said they’d be right out. 5 more minutes later, they finally come out with my food with a cheap “sorry about the wait” like it had been only a few minutes and not a half hour. Then, I check my food and it’s cold like it had been sitting for the whole time. Not at all happy about this. I spent $70 for this? Not again.Edit: I get home and discover that my family is now forced to eat this with no bbq sauce, since I didn’t get the ones I ordered.Colts pig stand is basically next door and Woodys is right down the street. Go there instead.
Absolutely my favorite BBQ place. Have eaten just about everything on their menu and have never been disappointed. Order take out and delivery also. Superb.
Sonny's was a great stop for dinner on our way back home to Michigan after a short spring break trip to the sunshine state. We ate a lot of really good food. The loaded nachos with pulled pork were fantastic. The corn bites equally as good. The fried egg rolls cooked to perfection. All around great meal. We also had a half chicken, sliced smoked turkey, pulled pork, baked sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans and corn bread muffins. I'm still stuffed.
Done with this Sonnys. It has gone way downhill. If you’re going to have management at least train them on basic customer service! Zack was the WORST manager I’ve ever dealt with. Extremely condescending with his tone. Left drive thru, got home and all our sides were wrong including no fries. Called first to which Andrea (who answered the phone) says “we’ll do you have your receipt”. I literally drove off like 10 minutes before. So we drove back down there and was never even apologized to them the manager Zack never even came back out to say anything. His only response was “so what we’re the sides” We got home and it was STILL WRONG. I called to get the corporate number to which I was put on hold for almost 10 minutes and no one came back to the phone. I called back and was told there was no number and that the owner would call me back. Owner called and sounded scripted but at least was nice. I refused free food, that’s not what I was after. I expected at least an apology and decent service from Zack (manager). So I’m just done eating there. If that’s the kind of staff that’s going to be handling my food, no thank you.
I came in about 1130 on 03/02/2022 and my waitress was Erin. She was fantastic! The kitchen though really had alot of issues being able to make extra crispy fries. The fries that came out with my order were barely cooked regular, let alone extra crispy. Erin noticed this and kept trying to get the kitchen to remake the fries. after about an hour I just left. I heard her go to the kitchen window several times asking for it. The kitchen staff today is just trash. It's pretty sad when you can't even make fries crispy. Erin did everything she could to make sure my experience was as good as it could be. There were no problems with her at all, just the garbage kitchen staff.
I love this place although haven't been in awhile of course miss the salad bar
We finally had the opportunity to stop in for lunch. Although we were surprised that the salad bar was gone, our meal didn't disappoint. We did think it odd that the salad bar was replaced with a beer/wine bar (no cocktails). As no one was at the bar during lunch, we're not sure why it's here. Anyway, we were greeted by our server Ellen, who was knowledgeable and proficient. Quick with our drink selection we soon ordered. I had the dry-rubbed St. Louis Rib lunch plate and my wife tried the Cobb Salad with meat. Both were excellent. My wife wanted me to point out how much she enjoyed the ice tea. One change we do like is you don't have to pay at the register any longer. The server handles it now. That's an improvement. What more could you ask?
Possibly worst take out ever. THIS was $26.00 !!!!!! Nope never again. 1 star only bc you can’t do 0
