I went with my daughter we waited about 25 minutes for the food to come out then when it came out, I got home fries instead of hash browns, the server showed me the check to say he wrote it correctly and that the kitchen messed up. At this point, I don’t care who did what, I just want me food. Then comes out in seconds with hash browns and asks me if they are too burnt. If you have to ask, don’t bring it out. Then I am eating my toast when I find a black hair spread into my buttered toast. The server grabs the toast from me to take it to the back, no I’m sorry or apology at all. Then proceeds to say I took off $3 for the toast..really? My good was cold, you showed no empathy and that’s it. I actually left still hungry because all I really had was some eggs burnt bacon and hash browns. The only reason this is two stars is because the manager gave me a 20% additional discount. I have been coming to the orange city location since I was a kid but honestly this completely put me off. I was a server for 10 years. Always give good service to everyone because e you never know. We still had a $16 dollar check at the end of the day when really it should have been comped. The manager was friendly but I think more than 20% could have been done
I always enjoy the food here. Service was slow today but i know a lot of places are short staffed. It happens.I know the waitress name is Hope, she was running around a lot, i appreciate her effort. The other server, i don't know her name, but she is younger and wears glasses, is also doing a great job. She was working the register but also seating and took our drinks after we were waiting for a bit.Hope you can pass this along.
I have been going to Perkins for many years. I particularly like the Potato Pancakes. But a couple of years ago, I noticed the Potato Pancakes were different. They did not taste the same. I brought this to the Managers attention and he told me that the recipe had changed. It was not a good change. I still stuck to Potato Pancakes when I went there. Today, my wife and I went to the Perkins in Orange City, Florida. I had the Potato Pancakes and she had the Country Fried Steak and Eggs. Mt Potato pancakes were about as thick as a piece of printing paper. They were also barely warm. Same with my wife's Country fried steak and eggs. Her eggs were barely warm and she was disappointed with her overall meal. My Potato Pancakes were extremely Bland and were like eating dough! Thanks for changing what used to be a good recipe. You have ruined that meal for me and I don't think I will be back. Thanks.Ed D.
Long waiting for brunch, must go early or not hungry. Bakery products were super palatable and yummy. Waiter was nice, attentive, and fast. Breakfast tasted delicious. Hostess runs that place very well.
They keep seating people at a small table. We were seated at a table then had to move because of no room. Then another group would be seated at the same table only to move because it was to small. Then another group would come on and they would be seated at the same table. That group would also move to a different table. Saw this happen 7 times. Why do they keep seating groups at a table that is way to small? There was a dozen other empty tables to seat guests. Also place was freezing. All of us had to wear coats. Several people went back to their cars for coats and sweaters. I should have know better when I walked in and saw everybody in coats. Could not enjoy dinner because it was so cold inside the restaurant.
Quick, easy meal. I had the omelette, pancakes, and potatoes.
Went here for breakfast with my significant other. The food was amazing and the waitress was just the sweetest ever. I got the Everything Skillet(which rocked my world) and my bf got the Big Country, both with muffins and our hot drinks. I'm not a big fan of breakfast, but i would TOTALLY recommend this place. The bill is usually $30-40 for us. We'll definitely be going back.
food is awesome, servers are so nice
Not many customers, but we enjoyed our dinner (except for the burnt fries that my friend didn't want to bother sending back). All staff was friendly, but you could sense that they are short on employees like everywhere else. I'm grateful there was no wait at about 7:30 pm.
So delicious. This food was Gordon Ramsey worthy. Everything was crispy and hot, the eggs were perfectly scrambled. Not sure who the chef was but I tip my hat to you sir!
