The staff was friendly. I'm not a big fan of vinegar based sauces or the food. I ordered the chimichanga and mu husband ordered the chicken burrito. He took two bites and was done. We finished mine, but only because we paid for them and didn't want to throw both away. We won't return.
We regularly travel on W. Colonial Drive in Ocoee. We always seem to get the red light at Maguire Rd where the backs of a number on businesses face the road. One of these businesses is Tijuana Flats which has an eye-catching facade, advertising “Tex Mex For All.” I’d picked up a menu the day before and decided to give them a try for takeout. The staff is very friendly and the manager is present and working to ensure a positive experience for his customers. There were several tables occupied with dine in patrons, including two casually dressed businessmen working on their laptops while having lunch. My order was taken quickly and efficiently: a chicken Chimichanga and a chicken Quesadilla. I waited about 10 minutes and my order was brought yo me by a smiling and pleasant young lady.TF has a fun vibe. I thought the music was a little loud, though. We enjoyed our food although the tortilla chips were soggy even though packed in a separate paper bag. We had enough for another smaller serving the next day. I thought the price point was a little high.If you like sauces, this is your place. The restaurant has a separate area with a variety of well-marked and described sauces. The tables are cool, too, with clever sayings on them. Elementary school artwork is also on display.Parking is plentiful with dedicated spots for pre-ordered pickups. The manager brought one order out to a waiting customer.I’m glad I stopped in and I will return. Just please turn down the music volume!
Problem with TFs is the time and location really varies the quality. Here's a picture of a sad rice and bean bowl with small portions and few veggies for $10
I’ve came here 4 times already and it’s always a pleasant experience. This location is new and I love the little space outside. There are tables and umbrellas to enjoy your meal solo or with a friend or two outside. They are doing construction in the next building over but thankfully there isn’t much noise. The inside is decorated with bright, colorful, beautiful artwork from the community. Definitely several talented artists nearby. The customer service is great and they all seem to work well as a team. They offer great suggestions and are very friendly.I recommend this spot especially if your are hungry and driving through (50) - Colonial Drive in traffic.
I went on mother's day and ordered two shrimp tacos and paid extra for a side of cheese, all to go. The cheerful cashier said that because it was Mother's day, my entree was on the house. I paid only for the cheese. I thought that was until I opened the food box after we were back in traffic and I found two luke warm sweltering soggy shrimp tacos. We were not 3 minutes away when I realized that I had been given trash for free and the cheese that I had paid more than $2 for, had not been provided. I cringed. I tried just eating the shrimp off of the soggy mess and they were too salty to consume
Quite possibly the worst Tijuana flats In the Entire Orlando area.Let me say I have given this place many many tries. At least 6-8 attempts, and maybe ONE order was correct. The food is always ice cold. ( which makes zero sense because it’s always 15-20 minutes late ) Portions are absolutely horrible. NOTHING is ever correct in the order. Just save yourself the complete letdown and go to the winter garden one. This location should pay you to visit
I don't usually enjoy Tijuana Flats. As a matter of fact, I tend to purposefully avoid it. This location was different though. It was open, modern, and an enjoyable atmosphere. The food was much better than most, and the open kitchen made the food feel like it wasn't as heavily processed as I once thought. This one location has changed my perception on the chain, and I'm willing to give it another shot soon.
The worst food portions, no good presentation, and cashier had a bad attitude…Thursday 2/17/2022 @ 14:00. She was leaning on the counter with a BIG attitude. While talking to the manager, I looked over and asked her was she ok….yes, that’s how bad it was….and Manager asked her to go in the kitchen and get an extra cup of rice and she went back and started talking to the other employees…smh… he had to eventually walk in the kitchen and grab the pre packaged rice cup. 1st time and very last time.
I love this place all fresh ingredients great smiles from the staff. When I left pompano beach for Mt. Dora I thought I wouldn't get flattened again. Very happy again
Georgia Peach sauce is amazing. Food great, service great, employees wearing masks, outside seating.
