This evening my family & I went to dinner @ the Texas Roadhouse. we were seated in a timely manner yet it took awhile to receive bread @ the table. When the dinner came out my “well done” road kill was rare, my side of mashed potatoes loaded were cold. The cheese didn’t even melt. The onions & mushrooms on top of the road kill was ice cold. My husband’s t-bone that he ordered rare was medium. The waitress didn’t offer any cheese selection for my daughters bacon cheeseburger. So she is not like yellow American cheese which was what, was put on it when it came out. so she didn’t eat her sandwich. But that’s ok she was full after eating her sweet potato. But I think the real kicker was when the waitress told my husband that his 4th beer would b his last for he was being cut off. We dine or used to dine @ the Texas Roadhouse quite often so we know he can’t have more than one beer @ a time but although the 4th was going to b his last & he told the waitress this - she came back to the table to tell him that he would b cut off. So y’all cut off the people @ the bar as well that they are cut off after so many.? Needless to say we won’t b Dining @ Texas Roadhouse for awhile.

Love Texas Roadhouse but Ocala is terrible! We normally drive all the way to Lady Lake because we always get good food and good service there but we gave in and went to the Ocala restaurant. I ordered a blackened chicken salad and my husband ordered the grilled shrimp. The shrimp was was very chewy and tough so he sent it back and ordered a blackened chicken salad the same as I had. it took over 30 minutes for him to get the salad and I had been finished eating for 15 mins. The waitress never came and check to see if we had received his replacement order or to even ask if we wanted more drinks it was just like she completely could care less! We asked to see the manager and it took 10 minutes for the manager to even stop by. Finally after waiting for over 30 minutes my husband got his salad and the chicken was not blackened. At that point we were over it so we just had them remove his salad from the bill and we left. This location needs serious help. I can understand they may be short staffed but the manager needs to do a better job of managing the people and the issues that are occurring and to encourage staffed it at least act like they care! TERRIBLE STAFF FOOD AND MANAGEMENT

This was the first and last time we will be dining at Texas Roadhouse, Ocala, Florida. I am going to review just my meal and let my dining companions write their own reviews if they like. I ordered a sirloin steak, medium rare, baked potato and steamed vegetables. They were out of baked potatoes, mashed potato’s and some other choices I don’t even remember what they were. I made an alternate choice. We waited an extraordinarily long time for our food to come. When it did come the person that brought the food, not our server, asked us to check to see if our food was cooked to our satisfaction. Mine was not medium rare, as I had requested, but overcooked. The server said they would do it over. I waited another twenty minutes for another steak and when it came it was even more overcooked than the previous one had been. She said she would have them re-cook it again. I said, PLEASE NO, I’D LIKE TO HAVE LUNCH SOMETIME TODAY! I ate the overcooked steak but certainly did not enjoy it. Our original server vanished after taking our order and did not re-appear until it was time to present us with our checks. Not even the obligatory “How is Everything”. Told her I’d like to see the manager but the manager was very busy and never did get to us. Perhaps their “CHEFS” should go back to culinary school to learn the difference between steak temperatures.

To be clear, I love Texas Roadhouse, but this particular one falls way short. We took our friends here for her 40th birthday and their first Texas Roadhouse experience. First, everything we ordered they were out of. Then our appetizers never arrived. We ordered steaks medium rare. When the steaks arrived, the waiter asked us to cut them into the steaks to check them. 2 of them were medium well. The waiter said he would get the manager. The manager didn't show up, and our friends started eating their steaks as they were hungry and their sides were getting cold. Our waiter stopped by a couple of times more and was amazed that the manager never stopped by. When the manager finally stopped by, she agreed the steaks were overdone. She said she would take care of us. In the end, when we saw the bill, she only took $10 off the bill. We will not return to this Texas Roadhouse, and our friends, whose first experience was this, will likely never go to any Texas Roadhouse again.

Recently ate here and the food was delicious, the line dances are cute entertainment, and my server Ashley was amazing and very attentive. I will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, food was bad all around. Appetizer - Cactus Blossom. Their version of a breaded onion. Onion was sour tasting. Undercooked but breading burnt. Dinners - all steaks overcooved. The 12oz ribeye was as thin as a flank steak. Everything oversalted. Baked potatoes were "late" and came out undercooked but piping hot (can't even microwave them right). Ribs were tough. Server - doesn't realize people can see her. After we told her about the concerns she walked away shaking her head and cussing. Avoid. Not worth it. Picture - ribeye that should have been medium rare.

Every time we came to Ocala, there would be a crowd of people waiting to get in. This time we came early during a weekday. We have been to this chain several times so we know what to expect. My husband ordered a sirloin and I had the steak kabobs. Both were delicious and filling. The salad and bread filled us up faster. We were well attended to. I read the other reviews about the music and we had the same thing happen. It went from a level three to a level 20 for about two minutes. Someone in management reading this should see if anyone is brushing up against the volume control in the back. Thanks.

Great environment. Our server, Derk, was absolutely fantastic. Even though they were super busy, he acknowledged me and my girlfriend as soon as we sat and let us know he would get to us. The manager, Allison, also came by to greet us and make sure everything was good. Very professional and the food was great. Will definitely be back

I was so disappointed with my most recent visit here on Father's Day. We called two hours in advance, and still had to wait almost an hour outside in the Florida heat to be seated. Then we were seated in two entirely separate booths with two different servers where we could not even talk to each other while eating and celebrating Father's Day. It was a huge disappointment, and the only reason I am giving the two star review is because one of our servers was wonderful and the food was decent. It definitely changed how I feel about the restaurant, and what I will say about it to others in the future.

Met another couple for late lunch at this restaurant. We all arrived 10 minutes before the restaurant opened and were first in the restaurant when it opened at 2PM. We were told we HAD to sit in the bar since they had no waitresses other than the bartender. Seated at 2:02PM in large bar booth. "Waiter" took drink order 6 minutes later. We ordered 2 draft beers, a sweet ice tea and one water. Everything except the beers came a few minutes later. We saw the beer being poured but they sat on the bar for at least 10minutes while the waiter took another customer's drink order and delivered those drinks. We finally got the beers only when the waiter was called over and asked for the drinks. He then took our orders. We watched many others around us get their meals while we waited...and waited. An hour after we were seated our food finally arrived. One steak, ordered medium, arrived well done. One herb crusted chicken arrived partially burned. The country fried steak, ordered with brown gravy, arrived without any gravey on it. When pointed out to the waiter he went to get some. 10 to 12 minutes later, with the meal partially eaten already, he arrived to say the gravy was still being made but was almost done. It never came. We finally asked for a manager and explained the problems. She left and came back a few minutes later with a small bowl of very watery white gravy. She said they were out of brown gravy and asked our friend if she wanted the white gravy. She declined. The final straw was the waiter messed up the other couples' payment and then sent the manager back to discuss it with them, saying he was fearful of making them mad. (Didn't want to lose his tip) No one ever really apologized for all their poor performances. Next time we will meet elsewhere.
