Worst service. Some of our party got their food and finished eating, the others were still waiting. The waitress never bothered to check on our table .
This place is amazing we are originally from an Italian area in NY so are use to good pasta and pizza. This place shines. The sauce is perfect. Pizza crust perfect. The waitress reminds us of being home. Service is fast and friendly. For years we have gone there every time we visited our family here in Ocala. Highly recommend My only negative. The bench seats are really worn out and the springs are uncomfortable they could do with a bit of an update.
The menu claims that all pizzas are made in a wood fired brick oven.....right where you checkout with your tab you can blatantly see they are using electric ovens. They have an interesting choice of toppings which is always nice, artichoke etc. But when you order a pizza excepting a brick oven taste and get something reminiscing chuckee-cheese, well it's mildly infuriating. I pointed it out to the woman at the register and she just shrugged and said "this is the best way to cook it" I was in absolute disbelief. To consider this restraunt Italian is quite a stretch. The kitchen is also horrifically dirty. One star is for fast service and second star is for clean tables.
Delicious food! We called ahead to see how busy they were and told them we were in a hurry. They asked if they could start our order while we were driving over. Great service. Does need to be updated but love the patriotism evident on all the walls!
One of the best veal parmesan I've ever had!Wife enjoys the Chicken Franchise ( for those who don't like red sauce). Waitress was perky & very attentive to our group.
Food was delicious. Ordered Eggplant Parmesan, a large generous portion. There was a large slice of cheese covering the entire top of the eggplant. Bread was freshly baked. My friend ordered meatballs n spaghetti. The meatballs were large n delicious. The service was excellent.
Happened to stop at this gem by chance. The food feels homemade and is delicious. We got the white pizza and some garlic knots. The pizza was crunchy and loaded with garlic! The garlic knots were fluffy and soft. They were both delicious. Our server was very kind and attentive. Over all, had a great experience. I don't always head in the ocala direction, but next time I do Sammy's will be on my list of stops!
This place serves home style cooked Italian food. Spaghetti w/ meat sauce is perfection there.We have had pizza at about every single pizza joint in Ocala, and once we discovered Sammy's pizza, we declared them the champion.
Monday night special- pasta w/2 large meatballs, salad or soup and bread was very good and affordable! Pizza is good and lasagna as well. So far so good!
