the food was awesome. crab legs corn potatoes shrimp. and the serves right on.
When it's not about the food it becomes about the service. I didn't understand why my server wasn't showing attention to our table until I got the bill. They charged us a $30 service charge (tip) and our service was a 5. This was my 1st time visiting. I explained to management that its my right to determine how much I tip, not their policy when a guests service is not worthy of a 18 percent tip. The reason they gave was, because some guest don't tip so they charge all tables a service fee. I begin my tipping as soon as the server shows their attentiveness in this case she was paid $6 for just remembering all our order. By the end of the end the tip can reach $40. This server stop coming to our table. She knew they were charging a service fee. My bill was $214. $184 without the tip. Just let me know in advance if you're not going to be coming back to our table because you're getting your tip anyway.
We had a party of six so the waitress automatically received a 18% tip, We had to ask for silverware and we were handed plastic silverware. Really ?40 dollar meal and plastic silver. Food was great but hard to crack crab with plastic silverware and no crab crackers Disappointing ?
The picture speaks for itself. But really, the food is amazing. We got the meal for 2 and had some delicious leftovers waiting for us the next day
Hi everyone!I’m leaving 3 stars, not because of the food but because of the Hostess.The hostess wasn’t welcoming at all, even when you’re having a bad day, you don’t take it out on others but she just seemed annoyed.Now; THE FOOD!!!! Was really good! Seriously good. My husband ordered the Crab Boiled and loved it. I had the fried oysters along with the sweet potato fries and that was amazing too.The server was great too! Very attentive. Hostess needs couching or replacement.

The food was good. However, I was charged twice for my meal... $94.12 and $107.31- this total included a tip. I informed the manager before I left the restaurant that . He told me that the charge will fall off, when it completely processed but it did not. I called the restaurant several times to get refunded and no one helped resolve my issue. I do not live in Ocala, Florida and this makes this business look very shady and the customer service is horrible. The manager/owner did not return my calls. I will not be returning.
the food was absolutely delicious! We had fast friendly service in the atmosphere was great! Looking at it from the outside you wouldn't expect your dining experience to be that great but when you walk in it's completely different. I would definitely recommend Red Crab!
My family went to a birthday dinner at Red Crab this past Monday. The server was extremely kind and attentive. She brought our orders out in a timely manner, kept our drinks filled, etc. she was fantastic. My issue is that my fiance went to pay and we were never informed an automatic gratuity of 18% was added to our bill. He paid 20% on top of that bill, not realizing. He spoke with a server in regards to the matter who assured him they would take care of, but today the charge came through and confirmed this was not fixed. We don't mind tipping, but it's very aggravating to not be told about an automatic gratuity, then to be told it would be taken care of, only for it to not be taken care of. The food is decent, but after this experience we won't be going ever again. Just like their staff, we work hard for our money. We will dispute the transaction and Visa can handle it at this point.
The service was a bit slow but good once it got rolling. Crab legs a little over done but good anyway. Expect to spend some $$$ it's a bit pricey.
