Recently, Lynn and I and a couple of friends made a stop at #1 New York Pizza while in route from our home in the Tampa Bay Area to St. Augustine. We actually were trying to find a nearby Mexican joint that was out of business. ? However, it was really our good fortune to stumble on this wonderful small pizza place. There is seating however you order at the counter. Each of our two couples ordered their small pizza. We had sausage and mushrooms on ours. You need to specify if you wish thin crust which we did. This pizza ranks among the best that we have ever had. Hot, fresh and delicious. The animated owner-chef and his crew were a hoot too. They also offer a $5.55 lunch special which includes 2 huge slices of cheese pizza and a soda. Their Stromboli s and Calzones looked incredible too. We enjoyed this place so much that we stopped again on our return trip home!

Very simple, the owner is very rude and unprofessional. Second, I attempted to order a Sicilian pie and they told me it would take 6 hours before they can have it ready.

This is hands-down the worst pizza place in Ocala. They don’t have any manners so disrespectful . How do you support small businesses like this . When you own a business you frown on businesses like this. I was trying them out so that I would know if we could use them in the future but absolutely not. They push you off the phone whenever they get your order. Then you get home and don’t have everything and call them and they get an attitude with you like it’s your fault and say they told you they didn’t have something and Still get charged. Definitely will tell all my friends not to even waste their time or money at number one New York pizza definitely not worth it. Just disgusted.

Be aware; their website prices are incorrect. I expected to pay $23.00 and paid $35.00 for the 22". I asked if their mushrooms are fresh and I was told yes, but they are not, they are canned. The pizza was good tasting, except for the mushrooms. If I'm ordering from the website, I expect to pick up what I ordered and pay the amount stated on the website.

The pizza is decent. They have a good lunch special that consists of two slices and a drink.

First, I want to say that I am so sad that this place is now off our list. We spend about $40 a week here and are on a first name basis with the owner. On our most recent venture our meal came with a soda. When we got home to eat everything, we found out that the soda was flat. We got in the car with the 2 Ltr and took the Soda back to tell them that it was flat. They ignored our concern and then when my husband emphasized what was wrong they took the soda and shook it and said that it should be fine since there were bubbles in the bottle. Keep in mind that the sodas were stored only feet from the ovens and not temperature controlled so there is reasonable suspicion that all soda in this area could be flat. They continued to argue but refused to try the soda for themselves. We used to love this place but why such a big problem when we hear let them know of an issue- I cannot answer that part. We won’t be back for a long long long time- if ever. This just isn’t the type of service that we enjoy supporting.

Gotta say i like this place but in recent months maybe a year food is going downhill. There is NO consistency. Almost $14 bux out the door for a large plain pie. Bland, bad sauce less and less cheese almost like rationing. No flavor, dough is constantly changing. You never know if it’s gonna be burned or undercooked. They are Selling what feels like 7 dollar pizza’s for $13+tax. I stayed away for a bit because it got real bad for a while. Anyway I'm from Brooklyn and it “was” the best i found for this area especially in Marion Oaks area .Anyone from up north knows you can’t find good pizza or Chinese food here. This was the one place I had hope for! To be honest next time I’m going to go to pizza hut or domino’s it kills me to say.

absolutely the best, most flavorful Marguerite pizza i have EVER eaten."and I've had them all over the world"worth the price

The owner of this pizzeria does nor have any manners, my son was there w his friends and paid for a drink but they didn’t specify what drink he could take so he grabbed a Snapple and the owner did a big drama about it at the point that he pointed at my son and touched him on his shoulder w a really bad attitude, also threatening my son to call the police and also made him paid .44 cents my son had left on his cash app account. It will cost him more to pay the transaction than the actual .44 cents…. He need to learn how to treat customer, kids or people in general. I do not eat at this pizza place anyways so I don’t even care about their pizza, now I told my son not to go there ever again, and I will make sure I’ll tell everyone about my experience w this ppl.

We had hot subs, meatball and sausage & peppers. Both were very good and more than we could finish for a lunch. Also got a slice of pizza that was very good as well. I love the thin, crisp crust on pizza. We will go back for pizza!
