The positive:The food was pretty good here and my order was ready quickly. This place reminds me of steak and shake from up north.The negative:The restaurant was quite the mess when I stopped in. The floor and tables were not clean, napkin dispensers were all empty, and several gnats were buzzing about once I had my food. Perhaps it was bad timing and they were just hit with a rush, or short staffed.
Service was great and food was delicious.The only problem was the young man appeared to be a manager, they were busy with lots of frozen custard orders and he came over,I guess to help. He started telling the girls what to do even though they seemed to have a system.He caused chaos and the tension seemed to greatly increase. It just seemed unnecessary for the commands.
The cashier was so patient with us as we pondered which burgers and custards to order. Once we placed our order, we were pleasantly surprised when it was ready in about two minutes. And, as usual, the food did not disappoint. So many businesses are struggling with staffing, but this Freddy’s is doing something right because they have some fabulous and efficient employees.
The employees were rude, the dining area was freezing so our food (which was mediocte at best) got cold almost immediately and the spicy chicken sandwich wasn't spicy. I was told that it was just a regular chicken sandwich but what makes it spicy is the fry sauce, which isn't spicy. I won't go back. I gave 2 stars because my kids liked the ice cream.
I had the vegi burger in a lettuce wrap, faaaaabulous!
