Not good by NYC standard. My first time in the two years that I have been living in Ocala that I tried Chinese food and China Star failed. I ordered a basic staple of all Chinese restaurant, roast pork chow fun and instead of thick 1.5 x 2" noodles I received a thin .5x1" noodle that lacked taste. The Chow Fun did not have any vegetables and the sliced pork was heavily fused with MSG. They may have some good dishes but when you fail a basic Chinese dish you lose my business.
Food was outstanding, quality of ingredients was very high. We were very pleased with the experience with China Star and called to commend them. Definitely going back.

I have eaten here before, but this time it was absolutely horrible. Probably will not return. Sad, because a decent Chinese place on my side of town is non existant.
This place is so good we order the house lo mein, The other great dish is the steamed shrimp dinner for those you have to wait the salt intake.
My 1st time purchasing food from this place. I wasn't thrill. All the meats I order were hard, burnt, & dry . My boneless ribs, sweet sour chicken, and fried chicken wings were burnt. Even my egg roll was burnt. The fries rice was ok. I have posted pics. Dont think I will try them again. $35 I would rather spend elsewhere.
My aunt lives down the street so I gave them a go and they got good food. My lo mein and egg Foo Yong was delicious! I'm definitely going back again before I leave.
China Star makes very good Chinese food. I love their sesame chicken. It is very good made with chicken breast chunks which have a crispy crunch and a type of honey sauce poured on top. They include broccoli on top and a choice of fried or white rice, choice of soup and egg roll. I normally buy from the lunch menu. Take out only. But I have also gotten delivery from Grub hub. Affordable prices great location in Publix shopping center on the side. Easy access from OTOW in your golf cart.
The beef fry rice is very good and fast service. No complaing.
I can't find anything good to say about the food. My wife makes better fried rice than they do. I have yet to find a good Chinese carry out in Ocala. I will keep looking.
