I had the North Carolina style pulled pork, cheesy garlic grits, sweet potatoes and I think it was their version of cole slaw. Note to chef, everything does not have to be seasoned for “heat”. I have had true NC pork several times. Yes, it is tart with the vinegar and it has a little heat but not so hot your mouth burns. Thought the grits would help quell the heat but they were seasoned too hot as well along with the cole slaw. Thank goodness for the sweet potatoes, they helped knock down the heat. If you like heat, this is the place for you. If you like more nuanced seasoning, than this place is not for you. Waitstaff was great and very attentive. Don’t sit outside, traffic noise can be quite obnoxious.

Absolutely Excellent. Every item was excellent. Pulled pork, brisket, onion rings, coleslaw, beans & smoked chicken nachos and 2 adult beverages each for 77.00. You know its a good onion ring when you don't want any dipping sauce. At least half went home in boxes for another meal (or 2) The waitress was a perfect blend of there when you needed her without hovering. No room for dessert but we'll be back.

This was my first time to this restaurant I had heard such good reviews from people I know, the food was hot and deeelicious however I gave them 3 stars because our server Andrea was not pleasant nor attentive to our table , she was to busy chatting with the young man and other employees behind the bar. What should have been an enjoyable early Mothers Day lunch with my daughter was dampened by her behavior.I will think twice before going there again.

Took awhile to get served even though there was hardly anyone there yet. Had wings, and a few other items and some drinks and bourbons. Service improved after we finally got it ?. Food was very good.

We were on a trip and wanted a place with a good food and a little history while we passing through Ocala. We found Brick City Souther Kitchen and Whiskey Bar open on a Sunday serving great BBQ and a friendly place to enjoy. Prices were good as was the food!

Stopped here for lunch on a road trip through Florida and very much enjoyed the BBQ. Restaurant was kid friendly and service was good and friendly. The whiskey/bourbon selection is of course extensive as you can see on the pictures but just like any place nowadays the hard to find ones are also not here - unfortunately. That said certainly would go again if the place wasn't like +2 hrs from our home.

Hostess wiping her running nose with her hand and then wiping it on her jeans. One server for 10 tables. No utensils provided, had to go to hostess stand for them. No ketchup with onion rings, had to go to hostess station for them. Texas chili served cold and was too heavy on the paprika. Salmon ordered medium served well done. Kids plate sausage arrived one long uncut sausage and the knife we had was a butter knife. The fried pickles were great and onion rings good. Perhaps the food here tastes better, and the service more tolerable, if you are drinking

Been here 4 times now. Basically, each time I'm in Ocala for business. Food has been consistently great each visit. From the smoked wings, to the ribs and brisket, nothing has disappointed. Now, no one in Florida that I've tried can best 4 Rivers Smokehouse for the brisket, but most don't even come close. Brick City brisket is pretty dang good out of the second place finishers. And their skin-on, homemade fries are the bomb. I'm pretty picky about BBQ sauce too. I don't like overly sweet or too vinegary. I prefer a more savory, garlic or spicy sauce. Brick city's Chipotle is perhaps my favorite sauce ever. I like it so much, I bought a container to take home.

Ryan was our server & he was attentive. We sat outside on the front patio. The indoor whisky bar had the longest bar which was well stocked. We enjoyed St. Louis Spareribs for $19.00 & chopped brisket sandwich for $14.00 with an interesting blueberry beer. The sauces were nice as well.

I give this place 5 stars ⭐️ for so many reasons but one was our server. She was awesome. From the time we walked in to the time we sat down service was great. For a Friday night it wasn’t to busy we didn’t have to wait to be seated.Food, OMGGGG the food was amazing. I ordered the whole hog, that consists of Turkey, chicken, beef, pork and 4 sides. WOW ? is all I can say. The brisket was amazing, the pork which was pulled pork was flavored really well and super good. The chicken ? pieces I picked came with 2 dark meat pieces and that was really good. For drinks ? I ordered the old fashioned and it was nice.I just have to Complement our server I just wish I remember her name because she was super sweet and she came to check on us repeatedly with a smile each time if I remember her name I will update it on here but she was awesome I had a very good experience there
