My first experience with Pollo Tropical was in Winter Patk, FL on 2019. I liked it so much that I’ve craved it ever since. Doing my trip to Ft. Lauderdale, PT was my first meal after landing. The vibe is different in this pandemic but the food did not disappoint. I dined in. Luckily I had disinfectant supers to clean the table. I ordered the Avocado Cilantro TropiChop which is like a bowl that includes rice, beans, chicken, avocado and cilantro sauce. The price point is reasonable. I was full after eating most of my entree and enjoying a mango lemonade. The taste of the food made up for me having to clean my own table. I may not return to this location but I will definitely continue to be a Pollo Tropical patron.
Do not come here except between 2-4pm when no one else is around. Any other time you will pay, then wait 30 min or more to get a simple chicken order. They prioritize the drive-thru orders (because they don't have a real drive-thru lane, just a line of cars in the parking lot), so if you walk in you are out of luck. It was never this bad before covid.

Always a great place for faster food with flavor. Love the plantains and Chicken and rice bowls. Only four stars because of consistency, sometimes, hot,sometimes not
there were hardly any people waiting for food when we walked in and we waited 15 minutes as each worker walked past to us and ignored us to even take our order of just a half a half chicken meal. obviously we walked out... Aalso pollo tropical prices have gotten so expensive, you can buy a precooked chicken from grocery stores for less and even buy your own for half price!!!
i have called every night for a week, noone answers and i see them inside, the website and phone recording states P.T. open until midnight and i am here at 11:10pm almost every night n they do not erven aknowledge that someone is waiting. after 27 years of eating at P.T. and having events catered we are DONE!! thanks for the HORRIBLE customer service, you would think with all the businesses failing you would know how to run one. Adios!!
The food, IF received is good. However, if you order delivery on the app at the location on east Oakland park Blvd, in Ft. Lauderdale, you are likely to be missing an entire meal, as well as extremely likely to be missing all sauces ordered. I’ve ordered twice in one week and both times was missing the wrap ordered. Typically missing sauces ordered, which has not been a big deal, but is consistent.
I am normally very happy when I visit this location. Sad to say my experience was terrible, this evening.Ordered a simple regular chicken tropichop bowl. The chicken chunks were so hard and dry, I couldve used them in a slingshot as a weapon. Made me feel like I was given cold overcooked scraps from an old chicken order someone cancelled hours before I got there. Not happy. I also had to wait in that drive-thru line for almost 20min just to be served that dry- choke bird.
Absolute worst experience ordered my food for carry out inside at 6:09 PM didn’t walk out till 6:39 PM the employees seem lost and didn’t know what order was after another and they were not taking orders off the screen and making extra orders when they were already been given out. And the one Hispanic cashier was so rude not even a hello “is it for here or to go”. And the manager wasn’t even paying attention to what was going on which was the worst part.
If you are looking for fast food is okay, chicken is not like wow! But is okay, they can give you small black beans and you can mix that with rice and it tastes nice.Giving 3 stars because I had to wait more than expected and there were few people at the place.
