I’m sorry, but this business must have new owners. Last year I would stop by this place twice a week and the food was always good. This week I gave it three shots, I ordered the salmon (was dry) and now sitting under a light like a buffet restaurant before it was cook to order, the macaroni was so greasy I mean nothing but grease I believe they are using real cooking oil instead of heavy whipping cream or milk something to make the macaroni creamy and their rice is always a different color your paying for a special rice and you’re getting white rice with peas. What is going on with this place? Today I tried it again and switch and ordered salmon pasta it was so greasy again nothing was used to make it creamy but oil. It’s basically oil and pasta. Nasty I give up. I was hoping it was just a bad day the few times this week but today I realize I will not be going there anymore until they learn how to make creamy salmon pasta and creamy macaroni and cheese. And please get ready for their $5.00 a slice cake any other soul food restaurant $2.50 to $3.50 a slice I mean regular pound cake and maybe once and a while a specialty cake. Very disappointed nothing but greasy food. And you can see all the grease under the food while you’re trying to eat.
Looks like a hole in the wall but the food is fantastic! Salmon was excellent and the mac & cheese to die for!!!
If you’re from NY and want good food out here this is the place you wanna be at. The food was cooked to order, tasted absolutely outstanding. The woman behind the counter Darcel, was great for recommending if you’re indecisive.. can’t wait to come back before I leave to go back home
I had the salmon pasta and it was on point. I came down to Miami for memorial day weekend. Googled a Caribbean restaurant and House of Flavor popped up. And I was not disappointed. Loved it
i wasn’t really focused on the outside or location…this is miami lol. with that said, i had baked chicken, mac & cheese & coco rice. everything was great and flavorful. looked just like the photos. the passion fruit (i think that’s what it was) lemonade was godly.
The people of this area know how to cook. Our food was delicious. Make sure to try the plantains, there flavor is awesome, the Mac and cheese better than anywhere, and my fried shrimp were nice large shrimp. The shrimp Alfredo with veggies was great. Sure it takes a little time to get your food, so enjoy the music, and the beauty of the lady behind the counter, she is a sweetheart.
The food is amazing. Its always fresh. Everything on the menu is delicious. I love to dine in because it’s clean and everyone has such great manners. 10 out of 10.
I gave it a try. Chicken & shrimp pasta. Flat noodles tasteless that eats up the Alfredo sauce, chicken pieces dry, 4 shrimp, 3 broccoli florets, bread roll wasn't even toasted or hot or at least buttered. I knew something wasn't right when the to go container felt rather light in weight. I personally make a dynamite seafood, chicken, steak, or vegetable pasta at home and this was basic college cooking. Presentation is just as important. No garnish and it was stiff. Come on y'all. This is a restaurant. Give us restaurant quality please. There's street food that trumps. It wasn't photo worthy and I'm still hungry. ?
I had the chicken & broccoli pasta which was very flavorful and a great portion for the price. the staff was extremely pleasant. I recommend you guys go check this place out.
