I have been going to Houston’s since I was a kid in Miami, and I could confidently say that going here for about 20 years, the place hasn’t changed a bit. The food is consistent and delicious. The service is great. And the location is lovely. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and I love everything! Great for drinks too. The spinach dip is a MUST TRY. As well as the lunch sliders, the ribs, and the salmon! Highly recommend for a fantastic meal.
The restaurant employees are not very friendly and look like this restaurant because it is in high demand and is not interested in providing good service and hospitality. I attached a photo that shows the availability of free tables, but despite this, customers are denied them, indicating the reason for the lack of staff. At the same time, the waiters just get together, chatting and laughing. I would have provided more photos, but Kelsey's manager rudely forbade me to take pictures and said that this was the restaurant's policy, but there were no signs saying that images were not allowed.I am a regular visitor to this restaurant, but today the service was disgusting and unacceptable. This is a disgrace to your company.
There are very few Houston's locations and whenever I am traveling in the vicinity, I always make a point to enjoy dinner here. It's worth the deviation and worth the wait. My dining experience was at the bar - as I was traveling solo for business. This was my first time back since the start of the pandemic and while there was no longer any official "social distancing" happening, I like how the bar is now treated like a dining area and you don't have people crowding behind you trying to get drinks over your shoulder whilst you are enjoying your meal. Note that if you are also traveling solo, the seats at the bar are in twos, so you will get seated next to another solo traveler. However it's not so close as it feels like an intimate encounter. There is plenty of space for two strangers to sit side by side and not bump elbows, unless you want to of course. My meal was incredible and the service was attentive. Houston's is NEVER a disappointment.
The food here was great, but the service was incredible. Emily was so kind and went above and beyond. I would go here again for sure.
Disgusting, we go there, after over 10 years of visiting, we were told that our party was too big, we offer that our party can split up and wait if they would like us to, however we are still rejected and told we cannot dine, even thought their were tables free for us to use. this has emotionally really upset me that they don't serve their loyal customers with more respect
We went as a family for a birthday. It was welcoming, quiet. The staff was efficient, polite and professional. The food was great. I highly recommend it.
I went for dinner for my birthday. We ordered appetizers- the cold smoked Salmon, the spinach and artichoke dip and French fries. Everything was delicious, the service was great!Best end to the meal is the dessert- mixed nut brownie with ice cream on top!!One of my favorite restaurants, I highly recommend!
I live in Aventura and I love to have lunch atHouston's. Very good food, friendly environment.David is a excellent server. God job!
My husband and I went by for a nice weekend lunch after running errands all morning. When we arrived I placed our names on the waitlist and proceeded to the bathroom as he proceeded to wait outside. After leaving the bathroom, which was very dirty and reminded me of a gas station rest stop I was approached by the hostess who advised we were unable to dine because my husband's orthopedic shoes weren't accepted. After looking around at other guest who had beachwear and sandals I questioned why we were being singled out and expressed our discomfort. The front desk hostess Nageli was very nonchalant and non-empathetic towards our issues and continued saying this was the policy. Not once was an apology issued or mentioned for bringing it to their attention about other guest with the same attire dining. Instead I was horrified to overhear her say "This is why we don't want those type of guest here". I have contacted the general manager and corporate about this issue but wouldn't be surprised if nothing is done since they are claiming his shoes were "too casual for the dining room" . Warning others not to waste your money or time on establishments who focus on profiling guest and creating a atmosphere which isn't welcomed to everyone. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN, they DISCRIMINATE, PROFILE, and probably would prefer BLACK PEOPLE not dine there at all. I would rather drive farther to spend my money somewhere where I'm welcomed.
A popular, upmarket location for a business lunch and for friends catching up - best to reserve. Our server, David was efficient and friendly. The pork chip was enough for two people (leftovers for me) and the trout good but not much different from salmon. We had a glass of wine each to enjoy with the meal.
