This place is amazing, the food was awesome, the staff was very friendly, the restaurant is very clean, great parking, outside seating, wheelchair accessible, cash or credit cards accepted, this place is set up like a beach resort, surfboard tables, booths , The restrooms are very clean, very great atmosphere, I give this place a five star we loved it.
Wings were okay. Decent flavor, size and sauce. Not as crispy as I'd prefer but still not bad. Their pretzel and cheese was out of this world. Their calamari was meh, but the sauce it came with was good. Staff was so so, had some people on the back who didn't seem too friendly or welcoming but the bartender and one of the hosts were inviting.
Tropical Mahi w/Lime Cilantro and Island grilled Shrimp… sitting here writing. Her rice was way over cooked and the Shrimp was a bit over. To bad to, because we’re looking for a 2nd get a away home in the area. Wasn’t terrible, but bit of a reach for top-shelf pricing. May give ‘em a 2nd chance… maybe not. The Destin East Pass was a good local beer. Try harder! /// Service
Hubby Picked up our food order- Lava cakes as well as drinks missing. This is the 3rd time we have ordered & the order was incorrect and something missed. Yes, he should check the bag but running late from ballpark & just expect the food to be there. The nachos were awful, hardy any meat or cheese but loaded with onions. For the price, definitely not worth it. Save your money. Food not ready after 30minutes from order and message stating it was ready. We are now done with ever eating at this place. There are lots of other fast food chains to pick from, so mark this one off the list
Wow! I thought service after COVID was bad…?! Hurricanes in Niceville tops it’s off. The staff is inattentive, bar staff is drinking on the job and the service is terrible. The food isn’t very good either, so with that it does not leave much to be desired. You’d be better off spending your time elsewhere. Love, a local!
We ordered almost the same for the third time, only because number one the kids wanted wings, second because it is the only place that sell wings here in BWB, and third because we wanted to give them a third chance. And sadly, once again, the food was not good, and for the price they charged for sweet potatoes fries, the amount you get it's ridiculous. Same for the $5.99 fries and coleslaw. We also never got the dipping ranch for the wings, nor did we get the extra blue cheese. Sadly we have to say, this place is going down. My neighbors were right.
Had the steak and broccoli. The steak was over cooked but I did not specify how I wanted it cooked so thats my fault.They had at least 20 beers on tap as well.
My family and I went to Hurricane on a Friday night and lucky for seated right away. They have multiple seating options including bar seating with TVs scattered around the restaurant. Our waiter was professional, brought our drinks quickly, and took our order. The wait was what you would expect from a restaurant on a Friday night. My wife's order was incorrect but a very simple mistake and fix. Their wings are quite crispy, although lacking in sauce, in my opinion. I recommend the steak tacos, throughly enjoyed those. In all, it is a decent place to go for good dinner. I can see us returning.
Very unhappy with our recent experience at HGW. Firstly we waited quite a moment to be seated. Wouldn't have been too much of an issue, however staff members looked at us and looked away as if we were diseased. A simple, give us a moment or something said acknowledging the party waiting would have sufficed. By the time we were greeted and approached my party was already looking up alternatives, but we thought we'd give it a shot since she did come up. ( We also witnessed another customer experience the same events of waiting as if she had a plague. )We were sat next to another table, no big deal but the tables were so close we were packed like sardines. I move my chair a little I'd hit the older person behind me. And then another table was sat adjacent, so if my party moved they would hit them. Not ideal, when there was plenty of open area to space us out even just a little but on the same side of the restaurant.We ordered our food, and it just wasn't as good as we've had in the past here. Not sure if a supply has changed or what but just.. wasn't the same to us. Felt more like Walmart chicken tenders versus the wings we remembered.The entire environment was very... I just did not feel welcome as a guest/customer in the restaurant but as a nuisance or a pest that makes things worse.While waiting for our food, the server was smack talking at the bar. Saying how it's impossible to keep good staff and how it's impossible to find anyone to hire - no one wants to work, etc etc. ... Just killing the vibe even more ..When it came time to pay, I asked for the check. I got my card ready while waiting like any decent human does, but the waitress came by and just grabbed my card and did not provide a receipt prior... Needless to say that was very rude & unprofessional in my and my party's minds.Needless to say, this place has been better, and it's very saddening to see a place change this way.
Great place for casual dining and they offer a full bar. The folks running the establishment are honestly incredible. Friendly, efficient, menu knowledgeable and very fairly priced. My server was the bartender Shannon, OMG what a friendly wonderful woman... if ya ever go in and she's working, tell her Swim sent ya! Cheers! ?
