I give the restaurant 4 stars . The food was delicious. However the server Natalie was not pleasant at all. This was our first time there. We sit down she brings us our drinks. She then takes our order brings us our bread. Put our order in with the cook, comes back to the table with our check. We haven't even been there for 10 minutes yet. She said" I'm leaving I need you to pay your check now" . We just look at each other and could not believe it. My boyfriend was getting the money out to pay She was in the kitchen just watching and waiting. As soon as he put the money on the table she snatched it up. She then asked if we needed change we said no. She didn't even say thank you for the tip! Was not pleasant at all never even a smile... not good customer service! The 3 girls that came on after her were awesome very pleasant. We will be back but it will be after 4 when Natalie isn't working!!
Touch if Italy! Wow! Imagine walking into an Italian restaurant & being greeted by the owner who clearly was of Italian decent & being recognized as Italian & welcomed like Italians do!!! Super welcoming! We spoke to the owner Sal who made us feel comfortable & talked about our heritages! Our waitress Nicole was so down to earth & our antipasto salad & pizza were right up there with our NY style! We will definitely be back to try the pasta & veal dishes!
Wow - was I surprised!!! We’ve owned our condo minutes away on S. Atlantic since 2014 and moved here from NY in October 2021. We’ve been on a mission to find Italian food like we had back home and have tried lots of places, but haven’t had much luck. A Touch of Italy is the closest place to the condo but because of some of the not so flattering reviews, we’ve never tried it. It’s been a long day and didn’t feel like driving too far so I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did – it was FANTASTIC!! I ordered a calzone, which was huge, and the taste had me feeling like I was back in NY, just what we’ve been searching for and so close to home! I’m really glad I decided to give them a try and now look forward to trying more items on their menu. This was a take-out order so I can’t comment on the service, but as far as the food, it was excellent!!
Food was pretty good but was over charged. We are staying next door to this place so I went in yesterday and got a menu to give it a try. Ordered small pepperoni pizza 10 dollars, small salad 5 dollars, spaghetti with mushroom sauce with salad 12.50. Should total 27.50 plus tax, well the girl said that’s 36 dollars and change which I said there was a mistake. She said we had a price increase and I said I just got the menu yesterday. She then told me again that’s the price. She was then to busy telling another worker about some guy calling in saying his order was wrong. I know it’s only about 6 dollars but I can’t stand being treated like that, I even handed her a 2 dollar tip since that’s the last money they will get from me.
The small Greek salad was loaded with banana peppers and pepperoncini's. We like peppers but it was way too much. Order the dressing on the side because it was swimming in salad dressing. It actually looks like soup. I asked the server if it was a mistake and she said no that's how we serve it.I had to send it back.We ordered the combination pizza. It was almost solid with slices of black olives . We took the pizza home and pulled off 3/4 of the black olives. Just for the heck of it, I counted the slices that we took off and it was 110. A lot of people like the food there and I am hoping that we just ordered the wrong thing.
Sal welcomed us at the door and were seated right away. The sausage in the pasta dish was wonderful. The portion sizes were over flowing. Definitely will be back for the food and to say hi to Sal
Great food and plenty of it. Prices average. Sat near a window and notic ed dirt and (things) on the sill behind the blinds. Not very appealing for eating dinner. All that said, I'd still go back but sit away from the window!
Love this place. We go here often when in NSB. We feel it’s always welcoming and seeing Sal is like visiting an old friend.
We ordered 2 pizzas for take out. One was under cooked and the other was unevenly cooked. Had to use a forks to eat the pizza due to them being soupy. Also the cheese was weird, it wasn't melty - almost looked curdled or maybe it was from frozen..? The flavor was there but domino's is better..
Much better than the last time I was here. The carbonara sauce alone is worth coming for but the homemade rolls and garlic bread were also delicious.
