Me and my family went there to get some food to go to the beach. We asked for 10 burgers and only got 3. My mom payed before with a $50 dollar bill and when my mother asked for her money back the lady gave her $10 dollars back. She said if we wanted more burgers we would have to pay $5 dollars extra! So basically she would have to pay 40 dollars for just 10 cheeseburgers . Like I said, when she asked for her money back the lady got mad and acted like my mom didn't just give her $50. So they basically just tried stealing $30 from my mom! They have rude and racist workers there! I don't recommend this place. There are plenty of other MCdonalds that would be happy to take your order.
I wanted to stop and take the time to comment on the operations of the McDonalds on State Road #44 in New Smyrna Beach Fl.Please take time to read this review as I have a lifetime of experience in F&B with time spent as a Store GM and Multi-Unit Supervisor of numerous operations. Rarely do I ever take time for a review but when one is this deserving, I do.Over the last couple of decades it has become extremely difficult to witness top level service in a Fast Food establishment and because my first decade or so was in Fast Food, I have a place in my heart for operations that excel. So many operations have so many excuses for why they can’t deliver exceptional service, mainly staffing.That’s why I am so impressed with the daytime operation at the McDonalds on Hwy 44 in New Smyrna Beach. A few months ago I started going to this unit in the early hours, normally between 5am and 7am. Most of the time I only do drive thru.The first thing that caught my attention was the exceptional friendliness of the drive thru staff. Every single time there is a friendly, welcoming person taking your order and even though one of their main goals is fast service, they always have time to be polite and helpful!!As I got to where I came most every morning, the staff started treating me like I was family by asking how I was that day and taking time for short conversation!! Every time you pull up to the window, there is a friendly face with a genuine care. It just starts my day off on a positive note…. Every time!While the hospitality is the most astonishing, the quality of food and the lightening fast speed of service is second to none.After a month or so of visits, I started asking questions about who was in charge of this daytime shift because I wanted to complement the crew. I found that one of the ladies I had been dealing with on most days was in fact the day shift manager; her name is KiKi! What a wonderful person. It is extremely obvious that KiKi’s amazing enthusiasm was so contagious that her example flows throughout the entire staff.I take time to write this review because it is so deserving and it feels great to have a place that has that Old School way of doing things!!I’m sure upper management is aware of this performance but I just had to express it myself.I am unable to make a review of the 2nd shift as I never come during those hours but if it’s anything like the 1st shift, you’ve got an award winning store!It is and always has been about the People and this operation clearly proves that and it sets the example for all of the other restaurant operations that you can still achieve excellence if you stop offering excuses and focus on what matters!Thank you KiKi and staff !Victor McGhee
We ordered meals/combos through the drive thru after getting off a late flight. The woman taking the orders didn't make them combos (and tried to have us pay for another order she thought was ours), so when we told them we were missing fries (did not check the receipt, that was on us) they said we only had one fry, so we had to make another order for those fries. Had us pull up to the next window and wait for definitely not fresh fries ? lady taking the orders should not be taking them, but at least the food was alright! Definitely not gonna be back, but it doesn't matter because I don't live here
McDonald's has very good fish sandwiches, ff,coffee and all kinds of drinks. Enjoy your stay and your food.
Big Mac burger patties were the same size as the little hamburg patty. Quarter Pounder, pretty much the same thin, little dried up patty. Buns dry and the fries hard. Same issues every time at any location. McDonald's... the new Subway.
Manager on Duty proceeded to rush out the door and accuse me of "talking/asking people for things" demanding I leave the property, which I informed her I had just gotten there, talked to no one and was just looking for a place to park my bicycle and trailer loaded with all my beach and camping gear. Apparently she automatically assumed I was a homeless person despite the brand new bike and trailer, the $600 metal detector strapped to the top and a lot of other stuff I like to take with me when I hit the beach. She was very rude. Even got my order wrong because she was too flustered to listen. Had to make do with a single QP instead of the DQP I ordered. The gal working there was kind enough to tell me about the numerous specials on the app. I saved almost 50% using MCDONALD'S App and it only took me 10 minutes to sign up and order. Great deal. The food was hot and quick and I didn't have to cook.
Fries were soggy to the point some were wet, I mean I literally put a few together and ringed out i guess oil and there was zero salt on them, totally gross and they forgot all of the condiments I asked for which must be standard practice at McDonald's because it's they only thing they do consistently. Other than that is was ok.
