First time visiting Limoncello South. Restaurant was very accommodating to a large party. They assigned us two servers to keep things moving nicely. Waiter repeated everyone’s order before placing order to verify accuracy. Cocktail was tasty but not strong. Bread was nothing to write home about. House salad was plentiful but lacked a bit of punch. It was lightly tossed but I couldn’t find much flavor. I was disappointed to see they didn’t have the pasta dish that they advertised is finished in the cheese wheel on a night it’s advertised for. Next time, I’ll call and check in advance. They accommodated me as I asked for deleting items from a dish. I ordered a Limoncello pasta dish that’s served with shrimp and I asked to have it without. Not a seafood eater here. Live music is set up outside and has a speaker plugged indoors. He was very good! I look forward to returning. Everyone reported to have enjoyed their meals.
First visit here to celebrate our anniversary. Both of our meals were delicious and we had the chocolate cake for dessert which was also wonderful. My only complaint would be that we had requested a quieter area but were not accommodated on this. Our server, Duccio was excellent and handled our entire evening beautifully. We visit NSB several times a year and will definitely have a nice dinner here again.
This was a vacation date night. When we entered the restaurant, we had reservations and were disappointed to receive a table that was in a terrible location. We were stuck in the corner and could not get comfortable at all. To start we both had drinks from the bar. A âMuleâ and a Kettle one with Lemonade. Our waiter Joseph worked extremely hard to make up for this establishments shortfalls. There was a lounge type singer (outside with a speaker inside⦠though he would wander in the restaurant). He was very loud! Despite complaints to keep the music down, he would turn the speaker up so dinner conversation was difficult at best while he was performing. There were a couple songs that were fun, most were over the top and intrusive to dinner. For the appetizer, we had the fried ravioli. This was done very well and we both enjoyed it. For dinner we had the Capellini Pomodoro ($16) and the Veal Marsala ($36). The highest rating I would give either of these dishes is âgoodâ. The kitchen mixed up the pasta order and delayed our dinner serving causing the veal to be brought back to the kitchen in order for the dinners to be served together. ( This has nothing to do with our food rating). For desert we had the Crème brí»lée. The topping is prepared at the table by the server. We thought this was a very nice touch. The dinner is À la cart. Again, our server Joseph, truly cared and paid attention to each and every detail that was under his control.
Outstanding !!! great flavors, big portions, very friendly staff , cocktail are big and strong, nice atmosphere,live music jazz , just great . Ask about daily special.Put on your list to try Blaze was amazing !!! Wish you all best, thank you for your hard work and passion you put on the plate
Ordered the special "Prime NY Strip" and it was far from prime, very chewy, however it came with 3 shrimp which were very good. My wife ordered the filletto al barolo and it was better but not close to being worth $50. She wanted stuffed shells but they no longer served them. The service was good and I really wanted to like it so if I go back it will not be for steak.
Great location for anyone staying at beach or in general. I may not have tried this restaurant prior to seeing other reviews and hearing about it. But we're happy we went. Good food, lots of selections, and supurb-tasting beet salad which is reason enough to go! Our waiter also was great! If you want authentic Italian, this is the place to go.
Came in and was greeted by a very nice hostess. Was seated right away with only a couple other tables In the entire restaurant. Sat there for approximately 10-15 minutes with no service. At one point the hostess even came over and apologized and said she would remind the server. Still, no service… then a table that was sat after us was given immediate service. After that we left and found somewhere else to eat. Very disappointed after all the excellent reviews online to go in and receive no service whatsoever especially when it was not even busy. Terrible experience.
Arrived early, no early bird special as posted, service was minimal and didn't ask if we wanted anything until dinner complete. Lobster ravioli was lacking lobster, and vongole had many broken shells in pasta. Disappointed in quality of food.
Food arrived late! Was not busy. Rushed us to finish and hovered over us . Food was okay but did not enjoy. Repeat customer and very disappointed .
We have been here many times but this was the first time we had the pasta made in the cheese wheel table side. It was our favorite so far. All 11 of us loved it.
