Bang Shrimp tacos from Izzy’s Island - I could eat these EVERY day!! Haven’t tried their ice cream yet but I will. Going back for 2nds and 3rds and 4ths before I pack up and return home!Update: we tried their other tacos (steak, Greek, and chicken) and they were good but the Bang shrimp stood out in a class by itself. I ordered three as my last meal in New Smyrna. Their rice and beans were good and their queso was one of the best we’ve tasted. I also got their coffee ice cream and it definitely has a nice strong coffee flavor. Their butter pecan ice cream threw me off a bit because I was expecting a different base but it was good too. Overall, I’d recommend a stop or two here to decide for yourself.
The tacos were the best we have ever had at a restaurant!! So tasty and cooked to perfection! We live an hour and a half away or we would go on a regular basis. The workers are very nice also.
This is one of our favorites in NSB! We came as a family and tried a huge mix of tacos and loved them all. Highly recommended for the tacos and ice cream. It was our favorite restaurant and first repeat of the week!!
Good Ice cream for price. Showed up at 8:40. They close at 8. They kindly still served me, girl running the register was very nice.
I can't even tell you how many dozens of times I have driven past Izzy's. After hearing recently how good the food was, we decided to stop in for dinner. All I can say is WOW! My Spicy Pig bowl was absolutely incredible. The jasmine rice was so tasty with pork cooked to perfection, a mango habanero sauce and cabbage. I mixed everything together for a party in my mouth! Hubby had 2 tacos that he raved about. I took half my dinner home so I could have some ice cream! I just had a vanilla soft serve but their homemade ice looked delish. We will be back. Oh....and the staff were really nice and helpful. I love supporting a local business.
Very tasty food with most 2 taco plates around 8-10$. Greek taco and Honduran with Mahi fish and Fried shrimp tacos did not disappoint . Fresh tortilla chips were great.
Izzys is one of my favorite spots at NSB. The food is spectacular! I enjoy the vegetarian options while my husband raves about his meat options. The veggies and cilantro taste so fresh!

The food was decent— your average tacos. Easy to get to. My shrimp taco did have a shell in it. I told the woman taking my order that I couldn’t have dairy and they gave me tacos with dairy and implied that it was my fault for not specifically saying cream was off limits. Took a hour all told to get the right taco. So to those with food intolerances: better spell it out pretty clearly if you want to come here.
Amazing tacos and even more delicious ice cream. My group ordered two varieties of tacos and a burrito bowl and all of the meals hit the cravings spot! Instead of ordering another round of tacos, we all opted to get their homemade ice cream...and I cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our cones! I had the raspberry chip which was a well textured sorbet type treat loaded with mini chocolate chips. The coffee and butter pecan I heard were equally satisfying. I forgot to take photos of the food since we scarfed it down so fast!There is parking out front, clean bathrooms, and a few tables scattered outside in the front and back and of course inside.Come try this food!
