This is our favorite ice cream stop when at New Smyrna beach. They gave real ice cream of excellent quality. It has a great nostalgic vibe.
They will sell you ice cream, but not let you use the restroom because they closed it down an hour ago. People were using the garden hose out back to wash their hands because they closed the lobby & restrooms. I never should have tipped them, I'll never go there again! REPLY TO THE STORE OWNERS REPLY... It's not right to serve food if folks can't use the restroom. You need to keep your restrooms open if your open & mop the floors when you close or when people have gone. I was not the only one washing their hands with the hose & others back there were upset regarding the restroom closure due to early mopping. I'm just the one who posted a comment.
We have tried many ice cream places on our vacation and Frozen Gold instantly became a family favorite! We tried many flavors over the week and not one was a disappointment!
Expensive but worth the trip because of the day at the beach.Each extra topping was 99 Cents. 2 scoops was 5.89. So you could pay close to $10 for 2 scoops and 3 toppings.Soft serve was 3.89. Single scoop was 4.89.Ouch but it's a small treat after a hot day. I've newer thought of it as being expensive before, they may lose sales at these prices. People are hurting at the pocket book
Great little spot in New Smyrna. Had a vanilla malt! Yes, I am boring! Haven't had one in about 4 years, love little ice cream places like this! The malt was awesome, service was good and quick! Loved it!
Delicious treats, amazing customer service no matter how busy they are, and now they accept card! Gone are the days of the fee-sucking atm if you don't have cash on you.We have been going to Frozen Gold every time we go to NSB as a family since 2006 and my husband has been going since he was a kid. We wouldn't dream of getting our frozen treats anywhere else while in the area!Our only disappointment is they no longer dip cones, but they do have the dip for their cups of ice cream.
Highly disappointed with new staff. I went to bring my son for ice cream. I usually get him the kid size cup soft serve because it's just the right size. The girl was talking to someone and didn't acknowledge us when we got to the open window until I spoke and asked the girl if we can have the kid size she says just small. I said okay what size is that she says 3 swirls I'm like what size is it like hoping she'll show the size of the cup/bowl and she repeats 3 swirls we go around it with 3 swirls with a tone like I'm dumb and should know. I said okay nevermind things changed here and walked away clearly picking up on her attitude problem.She then proceeds to laugh out loud at me and my son as we walk away laughing with the other person inside that I could not see. Definitely not how I think this business would want to be represented. Before they redid the place the staff was friendly, always helpful idk what they have working there now but living in NSB we'll find a new place that cares about their local customers that help keep their doors open.
Not the Frozen gold we are used to, ice cream poor quality, service meh. We went after the beach 2 weekends in a row as it’s a beach ritual, well after today we will not be back as the only order that wasn’t screwed up was the coconut ice cream out of 4 orders
Not usually one to make reviews but this place is trusty sad. I have had one bad experience there where I repeated my order to the guy in the window 4 times and they still mess up my order. And another time where I repeated it 3 times but they didn’t mess it up. I just don’t think the people in this shop want to work or even listen at that. Just stick to Dairy Queen
If you can't find what you want at Frozen Gold I would be surprised! Ice cream, gelato, shakes, sundaes, candy - LOTS to choose from. Very good!
