Food and service were very good, prices were fair and wait time was minimal. Would recommend for a special occasion, atmosphere was very nice . Had to travel about 20 min but was well worth the trip and visit.
Had a wonderful dinner. The waiter Jimmy was awesome. I highly recommend asking for him. He was very attentive and made us laugh several times. Ask for his drink called “Tied to a bed post”. He even wrote down the recipe. Food was good and drinks were great. Love happy hour and early bird combined.
Always busy and always good. The rolls and cinnamon buns are a great start. The Manhattan Fish chowder is great and the seafood is first rate. We eat here every visit.
Off the beaten path, we were happy to eat where the locals go. Known for their prime rib but I built my own combo (shrimp, scallops & crab cake) and hubby had NY Strip and baked potato. He said there was no waste what so ever, well seasoned, and perfectly prepared. I couldn't possibly eat all of my entree especially after complimentary fish chowder, side salad, and assorted rolls with butter and hush puppies. My entree was 12 shrimp, 8 medium scallops, and 1 crispy crab cake (no fillers). Saturday night was packed with lots of families! Worth the wait time in the bar or outside.
We ate at Black Beards the food was excellent.I got a Fried Seafood selection pick 3 Fried Shrimp ,Scallops and Crab Cake . My wife chose Stuff Shrimp with Crab Meat . Both orders were delicious and cooked perfect . We also got the Key Lime Pie to take back to the motel . Home made and a must take home desert.
Food was excellent, service was very good but our server couldn’t get our checks correct. Redid them three times while we sat and waited for almost 3/4 of an hour. Kind of made a bad ending to an otherwise nice meal.
Excellent local restaurant! Highly recommend it! Large menu selection (seafood, steaks, BBQ ribs), reasonably priced, and outstanding service! My wife had prime rib & I had a New York Strip, both were cooked perfectly to our order. They came with a nice size house salad, fish soup (vegetable soup made with fish stock), and choice of side (we had baked potatoes). Best service we've had at a restaurant in a long time. Not a fancy place, but really good food that's a good value.
Very casual family friendly. Food was excellent. Definitely would drive an hour to come here to eat. The prime rib was cooked to perfection. The creamy horseradish sauce with it was to die for. The Mediterranean salmon is fabulous. If you like seafood and steak this is a place to go.
The Prime Rib was cooked perfectly. Rolls, soup, salad and one side came with the meal. Our waitress Joanne did great. The slice of beef was large and plenty of au jus. Cinnamon buns also came with the meal.
Visited once again, sat in the bar area. Best oysters around with fresh mahi for my main plate. This place will never disappoint.
