When I walk through the doors, I am immediately transported into a small village in Mexico. The aromas and spices in the air fill my belly with delight. I ordered the enchiladas supreme and it was a collision of flavors in the best possible way. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy & delicious. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The sauce was rich, earthy and flavorful.The service was on point. I will absolutely return.
Really impressed with the food! Everything was great! Probably one of the better Mexican restaurants I've had in the area. I got a fried chicken and beef burrito with a salad and beans. Was excellent! Staff was very friendly as well. We will be back!
Absolutely the best Mexican food in the area. just off 52 and little rd. in the shopping center just behind the Pizza Hut. You'll find the best food , restaurant and people that work there in New port Richey. The Atmosphere is very nice as well.. We love the food and it's always made to order, The ONLY THING I'D CHANGE OR ADD IS. ( I WISH THEY USED ) GROUND BEEF OR HAMBURGER in there taco's, Not just chicken or shredder beef. OTHER THAN THAT. IT TAKES THE 5 STARS FOR THE BEST PLACE TO EAT MEXICAN FOOD. Also" the bar is clean and drinks are great.
OK OK so Im from Arizona and lived in Mexico City for a few years and my wife being from Texas you guessed it ..we are Mex Food Snobs. Up until now El Cerrito has been our go to place until we found San Miguel. The place is clean and there were servers all over the place so there was no problem getting chips and salsa. I wasn't a huge fan of the salsa as I like mine thick and chunky so I had them bring me a hotter version which was way thicker and hotter. Food was spot on and while some of the sauces and dishes are authentic much of it is Texican style which is what most gringos want and expect. We instantly fell in love.Side note : I love a real margarita not a mix but unfortunately they use mix so I had the bartender make me a "real " Marg and it was delish (I don't mind paying more for the real deal) My wife doesn't mind the mix and loved hers, and we both tried the Texas Marg with Don Julio and had a few of them.We met the owners and they were super nice and all the staff were super helpful and right there when you needed them and so I am giving our new GO TO place a 10 out of 10 in fact I am already planning next Friday nights dinner...
Was my first time ever dining here and I absolutely loved it!!! Oscar was very courteous and attentive and took great care of my husband and I. He recommended the burrito grande and the fajita trio, both dishes were amazing and came out very quickly. Also, I want to add how beautifully decorated the place is inside and very clean. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a delicious meal.
What a hidden gem! Place is very clean and decorated beautifully. Food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We had Oscar as our server and he was great, very attentive and quick. We can't wait to come back. Thank you for continuing to wear masks!! ?
I'm honestly a bit torn. The burrito I ordered was delicious and their chorizo had me sweating (it was on point). At the same time it wrecked my stomach for a good two days. Same thing happened to my wife with her completely different meal. I don't know if I'll return.
I have had this place saved on my "To try" list for awhile. When planning a dinner out with my family, I had chosen another place, but after finding out they did not have Margheritas, and my daughter and boyfriend did not like the looks of the other place, we decided to go here. Man was I glad they didn't want to go to the other place! LOL This place was wonderful!The decor was great. I loved the decorations and the light fixtures. Very clean. We were greeted right away. Our server was very friendly. Our drinks and chips and salsa came out quickly. My daughter got the strawberry Margherita which was excellent!The menu was huge, so I was having trouble deciding what I wanted. So many options looked really good. So I did what I often do and asked the waiter for recommendations. Unfortunately he couldn't think of one thing to tell me that was really good or popular. He basically just said it depends on what you like. Seeing as I pretty much like anything that is deliciously prepared, this was no help. So, I decided on the La Favoritas, which was a chicken burrito and a chicken enchilda. My daughter got the Enchiladas Poblano, and my boyfriend got the San Miguel which was a shrimp burrito.The food came out quickly. It looked amazing. When I took my first bite, my eyes got real wide and I looked at my boyfriend in amazement. The food was absolutely delicious! The sauce was so flavorful and fresh. The best chicken burrito and Enchilada I have ever had in a restaurant! Everyone was happy with the meals they chose.We ordered fried ice cream for dessert. It was delicious, but I question whether it was actually fried or not. It was so rock hard that it was difficult getting a bite on the spoon. Overall a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be returning to try more delicious meals from San Miguel's!
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Great authentic mexican food, and margaritas. Service is quick and excellent. It’s a beautifully decorated restaurant, and has many food & drinks options to choose from. Highly recommended!!
