Don’t seat people, then tell them you can’t serve them right now because you’re busy and then tell them to leave and come back in an hour. Terrible experience will not return
The food was very interesting. We decided not to get sushi, despite this being a sushi place, so we weren't sure what to expect. We ordered the char siu bao and pork siu mai as appetizers. The char siu bao was very different from the traditional ones I've had, with lap cheong and small char siu pieces and a good helping of sauce inside the bao. The siu mai was good, tasted home made. My only gripe about it would be the price, which was $8 for 4 pieces. Most dim sum places serve this same amount for $6 or less. It is also not listed as a siu mai, but as "pork dim sum". They also have a "shrimp dim sum", which is probably har gao. Both the bao and siu mai were served with side sauces of hoisin and sriracha. We both ordered the Shoyu ramen, which came with wonton noodles, a soy sauce egg, wontons, and marinated bamboo shoots. The ramen brother was a little sweet and salty, it was pretty good for this not being a ramen place. They give plenty of noodles in the soup so you won't leave hungry. I would love to come back and try their sushi, since that's their main commodity. Service was great and friendly. The atmosphere was quiet.
Beware, the rice is hard...when I called to complain about it...the owner said it was because I kept it overnight...like I have not done this before, and the rice was fine the next day! Horribly expensive, will not eat there again.
Update 5/22 now charging for extra wonton chips appetizer that was free not cool.Great food, good service. Excellent sushi some very unique rolls. Lots of lobster and beef, surf & turf is out of this world. Tried the ramen soup last night excellent, especially the shrimp wontons
My 11 year old sister requested sushi for her special birthday Lunch, the waitress was so pleasant and she even had the chef write happy birthday on my sisters plate! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, we will be back!
Nam 54 is one of our favorite sushi places to go!! We have ordered probably almost every roll and I have never been disappointed, everything is delicious! Our favorites is the Nam Bomb. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order here.
Wonderful sushi! I’ve never had a bad meal here! Delicious and prices are fair. Owners are very nice. I love supporting small, local businesses!!
Sushi wasn't bad but the service was almost non existent and the pricing was rediculous. Ordered a small plate of plain noodles for my niece and paid $9.00 for it- the full price of a lowmein meal , not to mention paying 2.95 for a glass of water. Over all 150.00 for 5 adults and 1 child , no alcohol ,and no meals , only a few appetizers and 3 sushi rolls.
