Nice English style pub. We sat outside and enjoyed a cider while watching the goings on. My husband had the fish and chips and enjoyed them. I had the bangers and mash and they were great. Nice spot.
First impressions…the Chairs seem like they could use an upgrade. I sat down and I sunk in, the cushion was obsolete, and it was wobbly. I didn’t complain though I just switched chairs. Very Oldies New England vibes, so it definitely explains the older chairs. All in All the server was cool, food was good. After 9 on a Friday the pump up the music & dim the lights. I’ll probably go back.
Nice place, a lot of draft beer options and delicious fish and chips.
I've visited quite a few different times over the years and a very laid-back experience.They also have different events and even has DJ late evening Friday/Saturday. Participating in the trivia nights are fun too- good/funny facilitator. Call or checkout online if it's themed! It can get packed depending on time of year.Food is very filling (a lot in each serving). I do like the fish and chips as well as some of the appetizers. They do have a long list of drink offerings- beer, wine, spirits or cocktails.
Food was good up until today, when I found a piece of HAIR IN MY SALAD. We won't be back!! Yuck. There are other restaurants to dine at that are very good. Continental & Campiello to name a few.
As we couldn't get into a nearby restaurant due to the long wait, we opted for The Pub. It was a great choice. The English Pub atmosphere is very appealing. The 30 minute wait turned out to be about 20 minutes. The bartenders were friendly and helpful with a local craft beer selection. The beer selection is excellent especially the British beer selections. The fish and chips may have been the best that I've ever eaten. It is fried haddock and the breading was fairly light. We had a nice table for 2 outside overlooking the Mercato shopping center. The Fort Myers craft beer High 5 was excellent and very fresh tasting. We took half our dinners home and had the leftovers for lunch the next day and it still tasted very good. I would go back and recommend this place. It is a chain based out of Ohio and there are several locations throughout Florida and Ohio. Enjoy!
We ordered from this establishment early to ensure our dinner plans. The order was confirmed, a dasher was there to pick it up the order and then all of a sudden -they cancelled the order 15 minutes prior to delivery. Do not subsidize this incredibly careless institution. You’re just a number to be cancelled.
The tableside pickle jar was delicious! Pickles. Pickles. Pickles We took a ride to Venetian Village by boat with friends. It was a beautiful day and the perfect spit for waterside dining. The Pub has an easy menu with sandwiches, fish and burgers. They only serve beer snd wine, no mixed drinks-we made due with Rose wine.
Nice atmosphere with friendly staff. Ample outdoor seating is available. Beautiful bar and English pub decor. Great selection of beers on tap. The Fish & Chips were fantastic. Service was a bit slow, but well worth the wait. It should be a 5 star review.
