This was my first time eating at this classic Naples dive restaurant located in the Cove Inn motel lobby. It is a family run cash-only joint. When you enter the lobby, you make a quick right and go up a few stairs where you will be “greeted” by the owner, a tough old bird named Lori. It takes only a few seconds to realize who is in charge, lol! Overall, there are 8 -10 tables inside and there is outside seating by the water if you choose to get your order to go. Our order included two coffees ($3 each), the #4 Sailor Special ($5.75) one large egg with toast and jelly, and the #5 Deckhand Delight ($8.25) – two XL eggs, toast and jelly plus a side of hash browns ($3). What I liked: - Our waitress was on top of her game - Their coffee was excellent. Note that they sell it for $8.99 / bag which is a must have purchase. - They offered a free pancake each for first timers and it was outstanding - Our eggs were cooked to order and excellent - They provided an English muffin without an upcharge - The hash browns were excellent - The three slices of bacon were large and not shriveled What I Did Not Like: - They do no serve Heinz ketchup - Not a fan of Cash-Only but it is what it was When you find a classic dive which provides quality products, it is a must visit dining experience. I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area.
Our first breakfast ? on holiday & it was on old favourite - the Cove Inn Coffee Shop Hearty, delicious & excellent service - an authentic American breakfast experience I had the Deckhands Delight with hash brown & Mrs C had Fisherman’s Folly with strawberries
A friend and I took an early morning walk on the beach and then went to Cove Inn coffee shop for breakfast. This was my first visit there and based on reviews I brought my out of town friend, hoping it would be good. The coffee shop is a little dining room off the main lobby and there was a wait to be seated. The service was friendly/courteous and efficient, especially considering how busy it was. The menu had just about everything one could want for breakfast and the food was great! Casual coffee shop setting. My advice, they need to expand the little dining room because I'm guessing it's always busy and therefore, noisy, but we enjoyed our breakfast!
Great breakfast place used by guests and locals. They work as a team in this place as well as anywhere I've been.
If you like a throwback place….this is it!! Quality food…good people…great service and good value. Most things are overpriced in this beautiful town…not this place.
The Coffer Shop has been there for 42 years. The staff is there serve you with good tasting, homestyle food. If you like pancake, theses are the BEST!!!! You will not be disappointed
this coffee shop has great service and good food and prices are very reasonable. it is always busy. they have stools where you can eat. it is like going back in time. lastly the menu is diverse. the only item, that I would not recommend is the oatmeal, so get the grits.
Came here for the first time in 1976 and ALWAYS have breakfast here whenever we are in Naples. You will not be disappointed.
As a native of Naples, I have frequently dined at the Cove Inn Coffee Shop, however, my last visit was a long time ago. We were downtown for an appointment which ended earlier than expected, so I suggest the Coffee Shop for breakfast. What a complete delight it was to see it relatively unchanged! Naples is so overrun with chain restaurants and unchecked development that seeing the Cove Inn Coffee Shop doing business as it always has, brought a wave of nostalgia over me. We had a great breakfast, even though there was some noisy repair work going on just above us. The server kept apologizing, when there was nothing she could have done about it. We assured her that it was fine, and happily cleaned our plates! PLEASE never change this gem of a place! I will hurry and go back again before the hordes arrive for season.
This place amazes me. Great breakfast and a great staff. Folks working together and working hard. I take my hat off to the cooks turning out great food in a hurry. Even if you are not staying at the Cove Inn, make the trip here for breakfast. Fast and good food
