Food was Very good - service was not up to par.
Classical old school Italian cuisine. Sauces are perfect, not too sweet (Marsala) out to sour (Francis). Server was superb. If you wasted a drink it appeared instantaneously.
Returned to Sophiaâs after a disappointing meal several years ago but this time the service and food was excellent. A little pricey but that seems to be the norm these days. Good sized portions. We will go back.
The meals had good flavor but lacked seasoning. The pasta in the ravioli and tortellini was chewy (not al dente). The shrimp in one dish did not taste fresh. The ambiance was nice and the facilities were clean.
Excellent dinner and warm environment. While they are known for their veal chops, the pasta is fabulous! Highly recommend!
I was recommend to Sophia's by a co worker. I found the restaurant to be big and inviting. I met the owner which was good. My server seemed a bit distracted at first and it took awhile for bread and drinks. When the food came is was well presented and tasty. Veal seems to be their specialty and I can see why, Mine was prepared well and had lots of fresh ingredients. My wife had pasta which she enjoyed. All in all a very positive experience and I would go again.
