One of the best outdoor patios I've ever seen but it doesn't compare to the attentive detail from each server and I even think that the manager checked on me and my table twice! If you want down home cooking served by down home servers.. go here!
We went to Skillets with a family member who had been there before and enjoyed it. However our experience was disappointing. The location is great with plenty of parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. We arrived late morning so it wasn't busy. Menu has numerous options. My spouse ordered the Denver Skillet which is a mix of ham, pepper, onions and 3 cheese blend. The portion was not large but was adequate. The dish came with a side order of toast, scone or biscuit. He was excited to order the scone which is a favorite of his. When his meal was delivered the server said it would take 20 minutes for the scone to be done. Not a problem, he was willing to wait. However the scone was never brought to him. My mom ordered waffles which she liked. I ordered the Croissant French toast. When my meal was delivered it didn't have bananas and fresh seasonal berries. It tasted like nuts and I didn't like the flavor at all (personal preference) I gave one slice of the french toast to my Mom to try and she said it definitely had nuts in the topping. She liked the taste of it. We were seated outside and there was no sign of our server. When the server finally returned, my guests were finished with their meals and I was told I had indeed gotten the wrong meal. I had been served the Pecan Cinnamon Encrusted french toast. No offer was made to switch it and I was charged for the dish. I spoke to the manager who removed the charge and ordered the Croissant French Toast to go. However, I was disappointed when I got home to find there was no french toast in my meal. I don't know which meal I received. Two out of three of the guests were happy but I can't say I would rush back to eat there.
Unique place, lots of choices. Homemade scones and biscuits. Choice to eat inside or outside. Food was very good.

The service is excellent even when it's super busy. Our waitress, Laurie, was very pleasant and gave great service. My husband tried the blueberry pancakes and veggie omelet and I had a veggie frittata. All was delicious.
