Very good food. The service was slow but we enjoyed our time there.
a lot of places called himself Mexican restaurants however Salsa Brava sets the bar pretty high. I especially love the Menudo which is Old Fashioned and very traditional. it's the best I have tasted in a long time.
This place is a gem! Small & cozy, but with a bright interior that really opens up the space. Very clean including the bathroom. I would definitely opt to go here vs some of the pricey/low quality places along the beach. The service was very attentive! I really enjoyed my mango Agua Fresca. I tried a few different tacos and appreciated that they offered vegetarian ? options!
As someone that grew up in San Diego, I can say from experience that this is the way Mexican food is supposed to be. Everything from the chips and salsa to the carnitas and carne to the Mexican cheese is all delicious. If you want to try some good Mexican food, give this place a try. You won't leave here disappointed or hungry.
Best Mole I've had in decades! This is a gem hidden in a strip mall. Really hidden! The food is fantastic and reasonable. Tiny place, so I recommend getting a reservation.
This place is really hidden. We drove around in a circle then realized it was in the shopping center in the back. The flavors are bomb! Loved everything we ordered! You can tell it was cooked with love for each dish. We typically don’t eat a whole lot of Mexican food coming from Texas we have some incredible Mexican food there. We found out spot to eat at now!
We had great service. Really busy spot. The fish tacos were very good and a very good portion. The steak quesadilla, chicken gorditas and Mexican tamales was very nice too. The limonade was really tasty. Hidden behind the mermaid store.

Very disappointed in this establishment. Stopped by to order take out since no one answered the phone. Ordered and came back in 30 minutes. Once home one meal was missing. Going forward the staff should reiterate the order for confirmation. The food and salsa/chips were poor and no flavor. The green salsa was in tiny containers and the chips were thick and tasted like cardboard. The guacamole was good. Poor service and poor food quality. Will not return.
If I could rate this place 6 stars I would. This gem is tucked into a shopping center, inside you'll find a great atmosphere, an incredibly friendly staff (hard to come by these days) and to top it all off, the food is to die for. I had the skinny margarita and it was also phenomenal! I have to say, the manager had us laughing everytime we spoke to him. What appeared to be the lead server (didn't catch his name) had so much charisma. Overall it was just a great experience, so great in fact, that I neglected to take photos of my food ??♀️.
