Needed an ice cold beer and a quick lunch, it was perfect choice. We’ve sat down at outside bar, nearly a mile long, loved it! Food came quick. I didn’t expect much cuz I’m a good cook and don’t have high expectations of any restaurant. But I gotta give this a 5* because all there dish was an individual firecracker and exploded in my mouth in a perfect harmony! Perhaps the type of dishes or the place itself, perhaps both, but I felt like I went on to a vacation ?? Dishes I ordered:SMOKED FISH DIP (I’d like to mention though that I’d prefer toast bread to this dish, enough with the crackers already lol) was the best fish dip I ever tried ???MANGO SHRIMP-DILLA ???? WOW!! Huge shrimps in it, coming with a fresh and unique flavor sauce, Perfection ??CHOWDAH (spicy chowder) again, very fresh flavor to it, I loved it so muchRaising my hat for the creator(s) of these dishes ?
I don't like leaving bad reviews but wow! Our server Katie was rude and acted as if serving us was an inconvenience. The restaurant was out of snow crab and oysters, which is not a big deal. But then we tried ordering the blue crab appetizer and she lied and said that there is NO blue crab available anywhere in the US. Yet, we go not even 10 minutes up the road and ordered blue crab without any issue. We asked that restaurant if there was a blue crab shortage and they said not at all. It was even fresh! We are locals and visit this Pelicans often, but this whole experience made us not want to come back.
Good seafood dishes and drinks. The calamari was not of the same quality as the rest of our dinner. I would go back again. Server Katie was friendly and helpful!
The soft shell crab sandwich was all shell…no meat. Waiters stood around & didn’t return for refills or to ask if our food was ok! Fries were great!
fresh oysters absolutely delicious with some mac n cheese. great beer too!
After a month fishing in the keys I needed a cheeseburger. Great burger.
Service was great. Local spot. Food was ok (pub fair) but both entrees we ordered came out with cold fries. Drinks are fairly inexpensive so that was a plus.
Ordered key West chowder that was actually vegetable soup and not even good vegetable soup. Marguerita flat bread pizza had no fresh basil. They used dusty dried basil.... really? Asked server about this and I think she was embarrassed about it. Not her fault. My husband had what was possibly the worst calamari ever...chewy and cold. One and done on this place.
Was here a few months ago, food was decent, but the bartenders were slow and taking shots behind the bar frequently, throughout the night. You could see their work performance get worse and worse due to intoxication, live music was also just ok. The gentleman singing was also intoxicated and seemed more interested in what seemed to be his girlfriend rather than playing music, and when he was playing his music it was so loud you couldn't even order your food without screaming and the bartenders still not understanding what you wanted due to the noise. Going for lunch would probably be your best bet if you want decent service and music that isn't to loud. Other than that, the food was decent but that's it.
We just moved to Naples last week, from Austin, TX and while we were out running errands, came across Pelican Larry's.We both ordered the Grouper Reuben sandwich and were sold after just one bite!! The fries were wonderful as well. The restaurant (including the restrooms) was very clean. The staff were pleasant and professional, especiallyAnnette, who greeted us warmly, answered all of our questions and took/served our order. We'll be back for sure!!!!Joanne & Chris
