Been A loyal customer for many years today the Roast Beef tasted inferior lessor of cut price you pay for what you get if it was a supplier error it happens since I am committing the bag grated cheese how about sliced provolone instead
Best renamed to "FatStrami" or "CheapStrami", as Dan(the owner) is using one of the lowest grade meats and he darn knows it but, has the audacity to charge $22 cash for a sandwich w/relatively miniscule amount of meat & coleslaw...and EVERYONE knows it.Sorry Dan, but you're an epitome of what product quality ISN'T in a service capitol of SW FL being it's heartbeat of existence.
Disappointed all the way around. Been coming here for years and today was truly sub par at best. Dry roast beef sandwich, even with the gravy. Cash only as usual. Please get with the times and quit being cheap on credit card processing. I ordered an Ice-tea and got a diet coke and shame on me... I didn't even bother to ask them to the correct my drink as the line got bigger and I had no time to wait further. Roast beef used to be red and tender, today was gray and dried out. I'm okay paying the ridiculous pricing, but give something that values the price. Sad thing is I even tipped you all on top of it. Looks as if this place has become a tourist trap, which again is disappointing because it used to be so good.
Wow! The best pastrami, I'm definitely going back. Real NY style right down to the mustard! I'd take a picture but it was gone before I took my phone out! Pastrami Dan's is a must. Cash only
Best ever. No wonder they line up to pay so much for a hot pastrami sandwich. A must stop as you visit this town. The owner (Dan) was at the cash register greeting and taking our cash. ? and all his workers were extremely fast and friendly.
Very good, esp for non NYC. To "Not NYC quality- certainly not comparable to Katz's deli" then go back to NYC.... Oh and Katz' is NOT the best in NYC 2nd Ave Deli and Sarge's are superior. But if you are into tourist traps, Katz it is....
Heard about this place for 3 or 4 years. Decided to try it. The pastrami sandwich was excellent. Crowded but found a table. The price for the sandwich was more than I expected before I entered.
Food delicious but why doesn't anyone working there wear gloves? All food is handled with bare hands. -By the entire staff. Money then food. No washing. No gloves. No masks. Woman took my money, gave me change then handled my sandwiches with bare hands. No washing. Another woman shoved her bare hands in the pickle jar.Sorry it's disgusting.Couldn't enjoy the food.
I have been coming to Pastrami Dan’s for 38 years and it continues to be a highlight of my year every March or whenever I get a chance to come down from Ohio. I can never decide between a super taco or Pastrami so usually get both. It is my favorite spot for lunch in the entire world and I mean that sincerely. Everything about it is perfect, just make sure you bring cash!
