This location is very nice. Looks very nice and clean inside. However the service was about a D. We called to make a reservation and the voicemail came on saying they would call us back. No call back so we showed up anyhow at 8:15. The restaurant was basically empty inside on a Saturday night. We thought they served till 9 o’clock. So after waiting five minutes for a table we were told we had to order almost immediately and it was only 825 and that was the only time we saw the waiter. The Mongolian beef was excellent and we had Vivian chicken. Vivian chicken looked like noodles. We would give that a D and the Mongolian beef an A. duck duck rolls were excellent also they Are a don’t miss. Overall we will go back, but the service was a huge turn off. The friendliest person in the restaurant was the young man who was bringing dishes of food back-and-forth to the tables. Can’t anybody smile anymore?
We had a variety and assortment of dishes, some of which were very good, and yet a few were disappointing. We will return, but be more selective in our choices.
This restaurant refused to take my take out order because they said they were backed up. I was willing to wait. What’s the difference between take out and eat in. And why do they list Take Out as an option? I drove five miles for nothing. I won’t go back.
Diner beware! Advertises for takeout but refuses to answer phone for customers to place takeout orders. Amazing food, but only the owner is allowed to answer phone—other staff are prohibited from taking phone orders, performing other basic duties, etc, that would enable a seemless dining experience. Posted business hours are also not followed as advertised.
Really good food. Great appetizers. Prices somewhat high but not unreasonable. Service is slow but where is that not the case these days. Decor is nice.. I'd recommend..
This was bad , I will never go back, we got kick out from the bar , because is not enough staff to serve our drink's nor food , I. m owner of restaurant in North Georgia. , that will be for me 1 star.She was rude to us. saying no enough staff working , only reservations , you need to leave They should put sign in the front door , full restaurants, closed.
What a difference this place is from their old location. Closer to my house, much nicer inside and better staff. The previous location had great food but horrible staff. Although I will say the woman who sat us who I think is the owner scolded me for being 10 minutes late for our reservation. I work in the industry and a 15 min grace period is normal. Plus you don’t scold the customer in general. That really annoyed me, otherwise it would be 5 star. Get the Peking duck. It is one of my favorite meals of all time. Make sure to preorder duck ahead of time when you make reservation. Otherwise I don’t think you can get it. It’s well worth it! Great spot but owner needs to lose attitude which is mentioned in other reviews.
We had a most delightful and delicious meal at O’mei last evening! The service was excellent with Kale, Chris and TJ serving the entire room with competence and affability!The star of the show, of course, was the cuisine!We had Peking duck rolls, spicy wontons, pork soup dumplings, Mongolian beef, spicy prawns, honey walnut prawns and crispy duck!! Every single item had been executed perfectly and was served to our table piping hot.We enjoyed every delicious bite of our dinners. Our drinks were refreshed as needed and we left the restaurant sated and happy.It has been difficult to maintain an adequate size staff in many restaurants and businesses since Covid disrupted our lives, and O’mei has worked tirelessly to continue the same high quality of food and service diners have come to expect. Bravo to Mary and her chef husband for another fantastic dining experience!
OMEI has been our favorite restaurant sincewe discovered it 12 years ago. The food and serviceare always excellent with last night being no exception.We need to remember that the Pandemic has affected staffing for so many restaurants and we need to be patient while they do their very best to accommodate all customer needs.
Food was good but our waiter was not. Told him we had never been there before but got very little info from him on drink choices and then by accident found out there is a full bar available. Felt very rushed until we told him not to rush us and then the apps and soups were served at the same time.
