Greens were awful, fairways weren’t up to standard, tee boxes were alright. The only thing good about the course was the staff; the conditions were absurd.
Played earlier this week. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in very poor shape. For the rate they charge, very disappointing. i would not recommend if you are looking to play in the Naples area.
Such an improvement in the removal of junk around the tee boxes and fairways. The grounds are much improved due to new grounds management. For a public course, worth the money and super fun course. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Price is comparable to other public courses, we return time and time again!
I don’t typically write reviews but it’s good for people who are on vacation to know that looking into other courses might be a better idea. Just played the course today. Most of the tee box and fairways were completely burnt out with crabgrass all over the place. Additionally they are building houses all over the place so the scenery isn’t pleasant. For what they charge you would think they’d keep this course in better shape and your experience would be better but not at this time. It’s a 70 dollar round at best for what they are offering.
On a scale of 0-10 I’d rate Eagle Lake a solid 3 at best. It cost my wife and I $281 on a course that is worth at most $50. Tee boxes and fairways are full of weeds and bare spots and the greens are in terrible shape. When I wrote to them to provide feedback I got an email from Justin telling me that supply is so low and demand so high that his prices are not high enough. A true testament to the philosophy that it isn’t about providing value to the customer but rather gouging the customer for every dollar they can get.Save your money and go where they truly care about the customer.
Naples is outrageously expensive for public golf but unfortunately Eagle Lakes doesn't deliver if it was half the price. Has potential on some holes but weeds, damaged fairways and rough, poor tee boxes, limited sand in bunkers doesn't make for a good experience. Greens and friendly staff are only saving part of the course.
Had to write a review after reading so many others feedback. This course isn’t nearly as bad as what people say. Collier County only has a handful of public courses and this one is just fine. We finished in 3 hours and the staff were great. Of course it could use some TLC but playing at Lely at $245/round is a joke. If you’re on Marco, the location is very convenient.
Course is fair - conditions are just ok as others mentioned. Most tee boxes are destroyed, but greens were mostly in tact. Decent challenge wise but lots of water and some fairways are tight with other holes. Also def off the beaten path - still better than not playing.
We actually liked the course. Sure, it could be in better shape, but we liked the people, the layout, and the wildlife. It was still not cheap for what you're getting, but this is Naples. I plan to make a Eagle Lakes a regular place to play.
Some of the reviews are a little harsh. It’s a decent course, greens were good and yeah it’s a little rough around the edges but overall I really enjoyed the course. Plenty of challenges, a few longer par 3s for example but overall a good experience.
