This is an excellent French restaurant. My wife and I have dined there multiple times and have always enjoyed it.
We didn't realize that they offered a prix fixe dinner. It's a good deal and we ordered it. The sauce on the seafood pasta special was excellent and so were the escargots and boeuf bourguignon. The wine was also very good. The desserts were quite tasty. The food is rich and we took some home.
We would never recommend this location to a friend. We were extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. The Specialty of the Day was âRainbow Trout Almandine.â The fish appeared to be approximately 1/8â thick. The rice was tasteless and probably overcooked. Wine was poor quality. Again, Iâll repeat. The quality of food and drink was disappointing. Weâd expected more for the price.
This little French cafe has the freshest pastry, quiches, and delicious coffees. It is always a treat to stop in for a cafe au lait and a fresh crepe.
Always wonderful
We saved our favorite till the last night there for the season! We’re not disappointed!!
I found this place by luck! THIS IS A HIDDEN GEM FOR SURE!! I was on a weekend trip in Naples and I stumbled upon this place. I fell in love with it immediately. GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT QUALITY and VERY INEXPENSIVE! All of the staff was amazing, they all greeted and waved us goodbye as we left and big shoutout to our server, Brandon! 100/10 recommend and I will definitely be going back!
We just happened upon this place on a lark. We had just arrived in town and were waiting for our rental to become available. So, we decided to grab a quick brunch and saw Cafe Gourmand. The only negative experience we had was when we first approached (which is the reason for the 4/5). We asked the hostess whether one of the tables outside was clear or not. She responded that it wasn’t her table so she didn’t know. Ok. So we asked another waitress the same question as she walked by and she said she was busy and didn’t know. We waited about 5 minutes just standing there until a few of the other parties sitting outside waved us into the outdoor seating area and told us to sit down. Apparently the “Wait to be Seated” sign is a suggestion and we were lucky enough some locals helped us out. Very odd behavior though and not typically French just lazy business practices.Other than the passive aggressive wait staff, everything else was pretty decent and what you would expect from an American-French cafe.
Charming team provides excellent French dining! Always fun to return!
While the salad, foie gras and duck were very good, the sole was very disappointing. ?frozen? Being seated at a back table, when no one else was present on our arrival, was strange. Our bad for not requesting a change.
