Super cute retro ice cream shop in the heart of downtown Mount Dora. (Totally felt like we were in an episode of Stranger Things!)They have a TON of ice cream flavors- with a cone or scoop option. They also have a bakery with cupcakes and other baked goods.I was excited to see they had a vegan option- Chocolate Cookie! My friend got the (regular) mint chocolate chip. Lots of Hershey brand ice creams.I really wanted to like the vegan ice cream option- but it had a sandy/dirt like texture to me. My friend loved his mint chocolate chip in a classic cone, though! The place was busy every time we walked past.There were only 2 employees working- both scooping and taking payments. They were nice but seemed pretty stressed out for how busy they were (July 3rd during a Fourth of July festival).
We really enjoyed this place. Prices are very fair for the amount of ice cream you get. When we got there, they weren't busy. But by the time we left they were getting busy. They have a combination of 2 and 4 chair tables. Probably will seat about 20 at a time.Service was fast and friend to choose from. Someone mentioned the Keto donuts in a review. I think they are brought in from a bakery, and not made there. They are $29.70 for a half dozen. We did not try them for that price. But like I said, the icecream was definitely worth the price. Will definitely go there again next time we're in Mt Dora....
Wonderfully nostalgic stop on 5th Avenue with a wide range (40 flavors, I think?) of scooped ice cream, and a display case full of delectable cookies and cakes. Seating space is at a premium, but there are benches outside, and there's a park just across the street.
The vegan ice cream option was so delicious. It was chocolate fudge chunk, or something like that, in an oat milk base. Lots of cookies and desserts, too. Very decent pricing, honestly. They also have an ice cream filled glazed donut option with your choice of flavor. A unique option that combines a warm glazed donut with cool ice cream inside. Kind helpful staff.
Great Keto donuts. YUM! Ice cream was also delicious. Customer service from one of the young girls was lacking. She barely smiled and when we went to pay, the screen asked for a tip I couldn't do it. She made me feel like I was bothering her, and she couldn't wait to leave work or something. The other girl with darker hair was smiling and great! This was on a Sunday evening.

Visited here with my son when we were staying with friends in Mount Dora. It didn't disappoint! We both LOVED our ice cream and cupcakes! Plus, the staff was very friendly and helpful :)
We stopped by Scoops for ice cream during our visit to Mt. Dora. Scoops was great. Lots of cool flavors and a lovely staff.
Keto donuts are delicious. Look good and taste better. Can’t wait to taste more delicious keto desserts !
So sad to say the vegan ice cream was disappointing. Barely any flavor, but I give credit when companies try to make vegan flavors. The regular vanilla, I heard was good! Keep experimenting with flavors!
