We were visiting Mt Dora and picked this place based on reviews. There are other pizza places in historic Downtown, but we felt this is where the locals probably go. We also read on their website that the owners were from NJ (where we grew up) and felt they must do pizza well. We were right , great pizza ( a little heavy on the cheese, but sauce & crust were spot on!) Garlic knots were some of the best we had. Places like this are in ever town in NJ, same ovens, same smell, and same overall look! Mt Dora is lucky to have this place?
The Long And the Short Of It: In a town chock full of great pizza places (astonishing in a small town like ours), MDP&S does it AGAIN! Last evening's short-notice party for 13 snow-bird guests (including children ravenous from swimming) was highlighted by a last-minute order of several GIANT pizzas and a couple of massive salads brought home under threatening skies and devoured with shouts and yells of compliments! And I enjoyed a fresh, cold draft in their cozy place. WE LUV THESE GALS AND GUYS! Go, Go, GO!
My husband has been coming here since he was a child. He is now 48! Food is consistently amazing. His Grandparents came here from Southern Italy and he’s picky! The sauce and meatballs are truly the best around! I’ve tried to recreate but nothing compares. Great pizza, pasta, sauce. Garlic knots ❤️?? Molto Bene!!
Visited with friends and ordered pizzas As usual, they were terrific. We like the thin crust which isn't thin like paper. Sauce and cheese are remarkable, toppings are always good. This place is remarkably bust for carry outs, 1 to 6 people standing in line to pickups almost constantly during the dinner hour. Located in a strip mall, it's an older establishment, not to worry, the food is great. Try the spaghetti and meat balls some time, excellent. Don't wait til the lunch or dinner hours, they are very busy then.
The Folgores are lake county Legends. They bake a great pie(pizza), their garlic knots are stupid good and it's a great family place to go. It's a mom and pop and you can tell they genuinely appreciate your business. Kick A** food! Keep up the good work gentlemen and ladies

Love ? their subs .... they are very generous with the meat. I ordered the baked ziti that my waitress highly recommended and it was very good ..... leftovers later that night were even better !!
The food here rocks some great Pizzas and Pasta dishes and there Greek said best in town.
This is where I go for pizza and pasta, this place is a legend in Mt. Dora ! Great lunch specials and the best waitresses! So friendly !
