The server Blanca was friendly, however does not have a clue of service, I ask her if I could subtitud a side dish and instead of offering me oder options even if I had to pay for it, (what I was willing to do), she say that's how it comes and move forward. My family who reside in that town said, that no one local eats there. when my food arrived to the table it was discussing and burn, I could not believe that the cook send that plate out The beef was cut in little stings, it was like they scraped the grill and served to me. at that point I was clearly upset, they offered me a 2 dollars discount what I refused and pay my bill since obviously they need it the money more than me. my beverage never made it to the table, she totally forgot. She never ask why i stopped eating from the first bite. it was clearly discussing. or ask me if I was happy with the scrapes from the grill, I took pictures. when I asked for a glass of water with Lime, the limes were cut so small that you could not squeeze them, and they were dry ( cut a week ago) I paid the bill and she added the tip her self, I was going to tip her since it was not her fault, it is the fault of her manager and the owner of this restaurant. When I asked fo them, the housted said that the Owners are never there. and the manager is busy, the restaurant was empty. They did nothing, the rest of the order was okay. this was the second chance to this restaurant. they mostly serve turist, the restaurant atmosphere is nice and deceiving. they just need a cook and customer service commonsense. I wish I had the opportunity to express this to a manager or someone at that restaurant, instead of this forum. and all the other forum. it is going to take a while especially after we walked the town and everyone expressed that I made a bad choice. I hope they take action and fix the staff, they need to learn how to manage this situations, great location, server was friendly with no clue of service. manager and owner no existence, what explain the situation. Lack of leadership. We tried a different restaurant in town after that experience. they where all good. I hope they take action and educate there staff, or bring a manager that knows what is doing.

Colorful and festive, nice and comfortable. There with, and at the recommendation of, friends. Food was very good with the exception of the plantains. The plantains were undercooked and not very sweet. In Miami I had excellent examples of plantains prepared correctly. One of my friends ordered a mug of beer on tap and much to his surprise was larger than he expected.

This is the best Cuban restaurant in town. Try the Cuban platter for a nice variety of menu items. And super margarita's

Without a doubt this has to be the biggest embarrassment to Hispanic food. I was referred to this restaurant by coworker stating that this was the fancy food of mt Dora. I’m from New York ??‍♂️ We are spoiled with quality food, Let me start by saying I was greeted by young kids that didn’t speak any Spanish and had no idea of the culinary dishes for me to ask questions about. The Churrasco was extremely oily with a side garnish that had all the flavor very disappointing. The rice was not properly cooked or from day before and the beans oh Lord the beans were made from cans, clearly the owners don’t care about execution or presentation of the dishes if they are claiming to be Latin cuisines. Look at the size of the plate for the sides he threw parsley all over the plate. Very small portions, All this for a whooping $40 dollars yet not a salad on the side ?. After taking a few bites, I asked for my check. Clearly we need a better representation of authentic Hispanic cuisines in the lake county area. Very very disappointed !!!! 2.5 out of 10 .

Hostess were just doing a job, no extra! How can unsweetened tea- a simple thing- be old and poor tasting. I had a steak fajita the steak was not soft but tuff- the lettuce was put by hot food and wilt. I will not return to this restaurant it is average at best!

The absolute best Paella , server was awesome , thanks Luis ?? Mojito , Mojito , Mojito , what else can I say ?

The food is always delicious! The vegetable rice is enough for two portions

Very delicious food. Had mofongo with pulled pork and garlic sauce over it, couldn't get enough. I give it a 5 stars for taste, a 3 for of price... Still tasty ?

We came to Mt. Dora last week from Sarasota to celebrate our anniversary. Our choice of this restaurant was as a result of "I don't know...where do you want to eat?...." So we randomly chose Las Palmas. And we are so glad we did! The Pernil Asado pork was, quite simply, amazing and the flan was a perfect end to the meal. Our waiter, Luis, was attentive and helpful. We highly recommend this restaurant and we'll definitely be back the next time we visit!

We ordered the vegetarian sandwich x2, the pork sandwich and the empanadas. The veggie sandwich was canned corn and frozen veggies on a soggy roll. The fries were cold and soggy also. The empanadas were also soggy and cold. The pork sandwich was bland and again soggy cold fries. At the the end we were charged a 20% tip already on the bill. I guess they have to do that because the food id so bad. The waitress was great and deserved the tip but the food is lousy.
