i think most if the items are out if a can or box! mashed potatoes box,chili definitely Hormel chili out of a can. hey if you like that stuff go ahead but I want fresh homemade for the price we have 2 pay these days. waitress was nice and honest.1st time and will never going again.. yuck

Very clean waiter was great not pushy like in other places. Food was superb will definitely be going again worth the drive from Forest City.
Enjoyed a great homestyle cooked breakfast in this cute little cafe. They were prompt, friendly and everything was delicious. The decor of Scottish Highland Terriers is cute too.
Highland Street Cafe has the best breakfast for the most reasonable price in Mt. Dora. Their grits and biscuits are wonderful. Servers are friendly and tables are usually available without waiting. Parking can be a challenge. They close after lunch at 2:00.
We did a quick search for something different when going to Mt Dora and we showed up about Sunday at 11:45Am, and we thought they were pretty busy, but efficient and the service and food was good.I had a triple decker club sandwich, my wife had biscuits and gravy, and my granddaughter had a turkey, bacon, and Swiss croissant, and some corn nuggets. All was good, and came to about $40 with two sodas, and a tip. I would eat here again, and it was a nice walk from Downtown to the restaurant.
I absolutely love this place. It has the best breakfast food. It's so good most of the time I've gone there the place was packed and had a line.I recommend the ham steak and coffee or the trash plate.I'm actually mad I woke up late because otherwise I'd go get some now but they close at 2pm I believe
Great breakfast restaurant.. excellent corned beef hash and hash browns...love this place. Will definitely return when I come back to mount Dora
Good home cooking at reasonable prices. Excellent and fast service. Went back twice. Expansive menu. Omelettes are great. Their special stuffed French toast looked amazing. Everything was well Cooked and seasoned. Often a line on weekends but it moves quickly
First time here I just moved here and it was absolutely delicious honestly one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had if not the best. Biscuit was so so so soft it was amazing and they were so nice, definitely recommend.
