Great Mexican food place in Mount Dora, with space to go with friends, families or big group.Food it is really great, real Mexican food!I recommend Chimiganga or Fajita Vallarta.Totally recommended!!!

The food was fabulous and so is the service, they are prompt and attentive, our drinks were always full and the waitress asked if we wanted to go boxes and drinks to go. We will be back..

Fantastic, enthusiastic servers/ greeters - such a nice change frkm most restaurants right now.Fantastic food choices and pricing !Colorful, clean decor. Love the music. They have outdoor tables, and choice of tables or booths inside.Clean !Excellent service, quick, attentive.Highly recommend. We will go back.

Service was good except getting water. We nearly died. Food was very tasty and hot.3 stars was for the drinks. We asked if they had El Jimador. The server said yes. We ordered margaritas with El Jimador. They did not use El Jimador. And folks trust me, I know El Jimador. It's very smooth. I think they used Sauza. It was definitely an aged (Gold) tequila. They brought 3 glasses, two blue, one brown, two had a lemon and a lime. One had just a lemon. I'm not sure but this is usually how they distinguish the difference between drinks. All three of ours were to be the same. I think the bar just bobbled the order and didn't want to admit the error. The bar tenders (yes two) even went on to say that they can only bring what the servers ask them to makeAnyways I don't want to sound too negative. It's a nice place with good food. If I consider how busy they were I could cut them some slack.Oh this is for the restaurant. Please don't slice the lemons and limes. Cut them into a wedge. Slices are for garnishing, wedges are for squeezing. And never ever not ever plop the lemon or lime into the drink. We come to drink, not fish.

My husband and I just tried this place for lunch today. I was blown away with how nice and pretty everything looked. Everyone smiling and happy! It was so nice to see. The food was outstanding and so quick! Our waitress Juanita took such good care of us! My husband had the enchiladas and I had the chicken chimichanga ❤️ We were also greeted by the sweetest girl and she made us fresh guacamole ? Thank you for a awesome experience. We will definitely be back!

El Mezcal is "on the rotation" whenever we're in the mood for Mexican food. In the half-dozen or so times we've been there in the past few months, we've found the food to be consistently fresh with generous portion sizes, good service, and reasonable prices. Restaurant is clean, decorated nicely, with a great bar and Mexican music playing at just the right volume.. Be warned, you may wait a while for a table on weekend evenings, but the wait is worth it. Strongly suggest that when "Benny" comes around with his guacamole cart, don't turn him down!

Great atmosphere for this new entry into the Mount Dora Latin restaurant community. Fresh remake of a failed pizza restaurant, this owner is clearly fully in on success.I was alone for dinner so I sat at the bar. Quick service and clean working area behind the bar.The menu was as extensive as you would want at a full service Mexican restaurant. I had the shrimp fajita. HUGE shrimp, cooked perfectly with little flavor. The onions and peppers were properly cooked, but again, little taste. The outside seating and ample parking (behind the Waffle House) makes this an excellent addition.Service was attentive, atmosphere friendly and prices moderate.I will be going back, trying some other items.

Cool little Mexican restaurant in Mt. Dora. Excellent food and service. Reasonable prices. They have a mobile guacamole stand where they make fresh guacamole for you right in front of you, out of a street cart.

Food is great! Margaritas are great! My only complaint is I’ve yet to have a server that speaks enough English to suggest or help you decide on options. They are not very personable either because of this. But otherwise I would definitely recommend this restaurant! They have a great to-go margarita too! $$$$$
