This location has been a consistent let down. The turnover of employees here is insane and the interactions both through the drive through and in the lobby cannot even be described. I took the family for ice cream recently and we went inside this time, only to observe sheer confusion behind the counter. While we waited and after half of us had been served, we noticed all types of mosquitoes and spiders hanging out overhead, mainly behind the counter. We hoped that nothing 'extra' would end up in our frozen treats. While we did fare okay with that, we did find a dead mosquito in the carry box we had been given. We are shocked to see a restaurant in this type of shape and wonder if there's such a thing as an inspector in the area on the payroll. Shame on you DQ, show some pride in your work ethics and respect for the customers. On top of that we had two orders of a blizzard with marshmallow and my son overhead a conversation between three employees, the cashier, the icecream prepper and the manager. One asked where the marshmallow was, the manager said they were out of it and they proceeded to look around for it. We didn't think anything of it because they eventually served us the order. After we left we realized they never added any marshmallow nor did they inform us to offer a chance for a substitute. Very unprofessional.Visit here at your own risk!
Vary poor service. Then the food was microwaved couldn't even eat. Them complain about it and was told they where slammed at the time of my visit. It seems that the drive through gets better service then take out.. I will not come back. Some erica refunded my money but was rude and did not want to hear there's problems in this store..
Slow motion drive through. When I actually got my order I had to prompt the dude to take my payment.
I arrived around 5:45 and was the only one in the drive thru, 1 person inside. The young man taking my order had a great deal of difficulty getting it straight. Even after I pulled around and paid, I still had to tell him several more times what my order was. By this time there was a long line in the drive thru and more people inside. After I was handed two ice creams, the young man said"that's all you ordered, right?" I informed him I had also ordered two chili cheese dogs. I was then instructed to go park in #1. In no time, all the "order waiting" parking places were full, the drive thru line was very long and the parking lot was full of cars of people that went inside to order. After at least 15 minutes, the young man came out and tried to give my order to the car parked in spot #2. I finally received my order and headed back to Zellwood. Next time I'll go to the DQ on Semoran in Apopka.
Still great ice cream. Nice to find a location you could go inside to. In NH, most are still drive thru last I checked. The staff here seemed new and not fully trained. My wife's cone dipped in chocolate had an opening on the side that allowed melted ice cream to drip all over. Ity was still nice to stop for a quick refresher
[Had to change my 2 star to a 1 star. They got our burgers wrong.] The service was pretty bad but I understood they were really busy and seemed understaffed. We ordered our food curbside but this location did not have a curbside sign anywhere so I had to go in to get our food. There was a small line inside but we all have been waiting for like 10+ mins for the employees to get our attention and there just there looking at us. After they called my name up, they handed me the Blizzards first, and I had to wait for the food. Time goes by and I had to put the Blizzards BACK in the freezer because they were taking too long. I finally get my food but they forgot my drinks so I was trying to ask for that, but yet again, they make me wait, so I had to put our Blizzards back in the freezers. Everyone in the line was complaining but the service too by the way. They finally gave me my drinks and I told all the people I spoke with on the line “Good luck” and finally left. This DQ needs more staff and needs to add curbside signs. Next time we see this DQ with a line, we’re going somewhere else.
Poor service, small quantity of ice cream and hot fudge sauce for sundaes. Very bad experience . Wake up and improve Mt Dora Dairy Queen !
I order ice cream..but they should use paper towels and not touching the ice cream cone....they are good and friendly..
Service was a little slow because they seemed short staffed just like most food places. Food was decent for fast food. The inside was open and seemed clean, workers were wearing masks.
Love bizzards. They make a good one at this store.
