I was scrolling through uber eats for a Jamaican Restaurant and came across Island Tings.For the first time ordering from your restaurant/catering service/business establishment,i was very much disappointed.First & foremost they messed up my order.I specifically ordered two curried chicken with white rice and oxtail gravy.But instead i got rice and peas with curried chicken and no oxtail gravy.Which was not what i ordered.Second of all,the rice and peas was very hard like it had been sitting around all day.Instant turn off!!The curried chicken lacked flavour and was not seasoned properly!!Another instant turn off!!I wish i could give zero stars......but that option is not given.I'm really,really disappointed.......It was not an enjoyable meal.Meat smelled kind of raw like it wasn't washed and cleaned properly.When i took a bite out of the chicken the chicken was raw on the inside and had blood very visible.Once again huge disappointment.The jerk chicken didn't taste all that wonderful either.I will not be purchasing anything from Island Tings again.Such a huge and great utter disappointment.
My family has been wanting to try this restaurant since we heard about it recently. We ordered the curry chicken, fried chicken, mac and cheese and jerk chicken pasta. My husband felt the rice was extremely hard and made it difficult to enjoy the meal overall. I agree. It didn't taste fresh and tasted old. Would've made a big difference if it was fresh. The meats were ok. My son did however liked the jerk chicken pasta.
I order Ackee & saltfish, didn't come as described on website. Boil banana NO, dumpling NO and I order the Rasta cake and received coconut which I am allergic to. Taste old and fish is chewy so damn disappointed. Cost to much to receive some of this quality. ? Never again
I’ve had the curry chicken, brown chicken, and the oxtail!!! Haven’t had a bad meal yet. People are friendly, service was great in all three occasions. Great job. Keep it up!!!!
The brown stew chicken was amazing and the beef patties were awesome too the best I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely come back.
This place here have great customer service, friendly staff and beautifully decorated!. If I recall our server name was Kim; she's very friendly,very knowledgeable of the menu most importantly great attitude and deal off patiences!The food was good,we loved their jerk pork ? but what I really wanted was oxtail or curry goat but the cook!(dear cook/chef oxtail and goat meat is expensive!) made it them mushy If not that I would have given Island Tings a 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ There drinks is awesome? We would definitely go back.
Me and my daughter ordered the oxtail plate each honestly big enough for two even the spicy patties had lots of meat next time I’m going for the jerk chicken
Oxtails was tasty and tender but expensive $23 but I do know that the cost of oxtails has gone up,the rasta punch was delicious I loved the pineapple taste.
They did was good. The issue is. I ordered through door dash and they never sent my drink. Door dash couldn’t help and I called the store a couple times and now answer so I lost money
Oxtail was delicious! The jerk ribs also very flavorful! Both young ladies that assisted me had were very friendly and respectful! Would definitely go back for sure.
