Chez Guyto is putting too much salt in the food. Guyto is very sweet to his customers. I like him very much. But, I don’t understand why he is not telling his cook to stop making such salty foods. The meat is so salty that it raises your blood pressure. Haitians have a high incidence of heart disease. A Haitian restaurant should be mindful of not adding so much salt to their foods to protect the lives of their customers.Guyto, please tell your cook to cut down on the salt. Adding lots of garlic, thyme, cloves parsley and Lime juice will give plenty of flavor to the meal without the excess salt that can trigger elevated blood pressure and stroke. If you follow this advice , you will show that you care about the well-being of your Haitian compatriots and you will be my favorite restaurant again (5)
Griot is to die for. The rice could be better. Plantains should be thinner and fried harder but, the griot is amazing!
Best Hatian food in town. Hands down. Always busy... The macaroni and cheese and fried turkey are consitently delicious.
For the most part food is good they’re just not consistent enough in terms of flavor but they’re better than a lot of other Haitian restaurants in the area . They’re alright some days & others it’s immaculant good
my family’s been coming here for years. fantastic haitian food every time.
This Haitian restaurant was everything. The food was good, the people are amazingly friendly and it has a very old-school Caribbean vibe. Just know before you go there that it is CASH ONLY. There's no sign that I saw but I guess their regulars already know this. I normally would have been mad at the inconvenience but they were so friendly and the food was so good that I will deal with it and go back often. Line was very long but it moved fast. Food is fresh because of the high turnover. Griot was crispy outside and so tender. Stewed turkey was on point. Opt for its gravy on your rice! I also saw people buying the fish, the fried turkey and the soup often. So they must be good as well.
Always take care of me when I go there the food is amazing speaking of it I’m getting ready to go now ????
I am not from here. I went to the first restaurant I googled. So I got some mayi moulin kole ( pinto beans with cornmeal) with sòs mauri (codfish stew) . The food was sooo good. Well I am giving them 3 stars because 1. They don't take cards. cash only. 2. I found a bug in my food towards the end of eating the food.
Food is fire .... I had the tassot Goat ... Legume and the black mushroom rice I forgot the name .... So so far so good ... Will try the fish next .....
The food is great. I had boulette with rice and beans. I also had a fried fish. Everything tasted very good. There is a long wait. The place is small so some ppl had to wait outside. I went on a Saturday afternoon. I'm not sure for other days and times of the week. The price was fair. Also it's a cash business, No card is accepted. It was my first time there I had to go get cash and come back.
