This was the best restaurants I’ve ever experienced!!! The atmosphere, the food, and the service was all topnotch luxury!! Our waiter’s name was Edar (if I’m spelling that correctly) and he is originally from Perú. He was the kindest waiter I’ve ever had and he was exceptionally good at his job! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in the Destin, Sandestin, or Miramar Beach area. The luxury is so nice and the people were really friendly. We had a party of 6, and everyone LOVED their food! The price is very high, but the taste of the food makes the price tag worth it! Thank you so much to Edar and the amazing staff, my family and I had a wonderful time!

We couldn’t wait to give Ovide a try. Walking through the Hotel Effie lobby was a treat. It’s fresh and lovely with beautiful colors and modern furniture. Ovide is on the first floor at one end of the lobby. We were escorted to our table and immediately served water. Our server arrived two minutes later. We ordered the mahi and the chicken. Both meals arrived hot and were delicious. My only complaint and I almost hate to mention a negative but bread should be included with your dinner. We didn’t mind the prices and our dinner was truly fantastic. We are planning to go again this week and try something else on the menu.

One of the friendliest and best waiters we had on our trip. Very fun and interactive with the family. I highly recommend Ovide!

How this beautiful hotel started out so well, and ended so poorly. We had reservations at 11:30am. When we arrived at 11:10am they sat us right away. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and Sarah was our server. We started out with drinks, mimosas, and a Bloody Mary (which were very good). When Sarah came back to take our order she was very knowledgeable about the menu and very pleasant. The four of us sat talking for about 15 minutes before she came back to let us know that on my wife's order they had run out of eggs for over easy. They could do scrambled but that was it. We told them to just send the plate without eggs and she said ok. About 10 minutes later she came back again with a menu in hand. She handed it to me and said " we are out of rice for the for the pork belly dish and that is the main part of the dish and so what else would I like?" I ordered the smash burger. About 5 minutes later she returns again with a menu and tells my friend ",we are out of the quiche, what else would you like?" He ordered the smash burger as well just to get our food to our table. By this time we are starving!!! Look I know with the supply chain issues "sometimes" you run out of stuff, but really rice and shell eggs!! Publix is right around the corner! Sarah our server was fantastic. She handled everything with a smile and took my friend's attitude with grace. We all know it had nothing to do with her(as long as it wasn't on the 86 board). All in all it wasn't great for sure! However, we will go back to try Ovide again. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Meh....I'm not a foodie but DO enjoy a nice meal out when on vacation AND spending what I spent at Ovide for dinner. The bisque was watery and lacking flavor. The raw oysters were not much bigger than a fingernail. The grouper I ordered was dry and served over bland rice. Friends ordered the biscuits and those were great! The service was good for our party of 8. Ambiance fabulous, but food lacking in creativity, flavor, and satisfaction.

Ashley Cain was our server and was beyond amazing, she really went above and beyond to ensure that we had a nice lunch! I had the lobster chopped salad and it was seriously SO GOOD, I highly recommend going!!

We stopped by the hotel restaurant for lunch shortly after checking in to the Hotel Effie. I can’t say enough about our server Ashley Cain…she immediately made us feel welcomed, went out of her way to provide info on the resort, and made sure our wine selections were top notch. She was a pleasure to talk to and made our first impressions of the Hotel Effire top notch!!!!

We had a lovely dinner at Ovide in the Hotel Effie. The service was a bit slow but not terrible. We had the burrata to start which was lovely. We asked for bread to go with it which they graciously served us. Then came the pork belly which consisted of two thick pieces and was delicious. The grouper was our main course. It was a lovely combination of flavors. Ovide is not a cheap restaurant but it is one to enjoy the atmosphere, the food and drinks.

The staff were very nice, but they could have had a dedicated drink runner from the bar or someone walking around filling up water glasses. Once it got busy, our server could not keep up with the timing of drinks during main courses or water glasses filled. The ambiance is nice. The wine list is lacking in options. The food that we tried was mediocre at best. The beef tartare and pork belly lacked flavor. I sent back the lobster risotto. The risotto was under cooked and the lobster was rubbery. The snapper was over cooked and the bok choy was gritty like there could have been sand in it.Best part of the evening was walking up to the roof top patio and seeing the view. There was a private event at the time, otherwise we would have stayed for drinks. We are looking forward to going back to the rooftop patio, but we will not be dining at Ovide again.

Disappointing:( Pork Belly was literally 2 logs of fat. Side potatoes SUPER salty. Crème Brûlée was runny. Filet was good & cooked correctly. I wouldn’t recommend or return. Service was fine. Expensive
