This was our first time trying this place and must say that I loved the fact that when we went there was no wait time and we were seated right away. For our appetizer we had the crawl dip and added crab and that was just ok to us. I also got a cup of the seafood gumbo and that was an absolutely no. Do not get the gumbo it lacks flavor. Our drinks were pretty good the had the coconut margarita and my husband just had Hennessey and pineapple juice. I absolutely enjoyed my half of dozen chargrilled oysters and for that I would about go back to this restaurant. My husband had the red beans and rice and he was not impressed. I would recommend people to this place for the oysters and drinks.
Pretty solid food overall. I wouldn’t say it was quite up to New Orleans standards, but I really enjoyed the broiled oysters and shrimp po-boy. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch. Service and food were both excellent. I got the crab claw appetizer and veggie as a meal. We got the meat pies for an appetizer. The food was excellent as well as the service. We will definitely do this one again.
Food was the best we had in the area. Got a group of 20 sat rapidly and service was quickest we had.
Doesn't accommodate to people that have to eat small portions. You have a huge kid's menu & refuse to grill anything! Or offer a small portion. I had my card from my doctor, I ended up walking out.
Cxcellent Char-flamed oysters! Add extra butter and french loaf Very good fried shrimp as well. Service was superb.
The past several years we had eaten at Acme our first night in town. Food wasn't as good this time. At first thought it was just me, but, my friend commented on the same thing.
Waitress Natalie made our experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend the grilled oysters & Boo Fries - Mississippi style pot roast on top a bed of french fries with cheese and gravy… DIVINE. Love coming to Acme
Live in New Orleans-go to Acme there many times-have gone to Acme in Destin many times also. This time the food was terrible!! Poorly fried shrimp , oysters, and soft shell crabs. All tasted bad(old oil)?? Raw oysters were great but the fried seafood was really off. Will never go back even though have really liked it in the past.
Chargrilled oysters were outstanding, ordered a half dozen wished I had gotten a dozen or more. Most of the rest of the menu is fried seafood selections. I had fried shrimp. It was good but would have preferred some broiled alternatives. Service was good and atmosphere was good, bar like. I highly recommend the chargrilled oysters worth the visit.
