A real soul food spot. Very true to their name and motto. The “granddaddy” meal was amazing.Online order was extremely easy.The grits were actually great. Not MY macaroni but nothing bad to say.I will definitely be back.
This place was wonderful when they started, but today they were unrecognizable. I called to place an order, they no longer take orders over the phone and suggested I place order online, which was also unavailable. I really wanted the chicken, so I made the 20 min drive to discover that they no longer have the fried chicken, chicken tenders only, like a kid's menue. Completely disappointed, having wasted time I asked to speak with the manager, after all, I was standing in front of a sign that said, "Did we do something wrong? Our boss wants to know. Ask for a manager" I was then told that the manager was not there and there was no indication when she might be back. How can we support your business, when you don't? What a lack of care! Starting good is ok, but finishing well is the ball game. I guess you stopped caring. Count the days, I'm betting your doors will be closed soon. Also, no one else came the entire time I was there, I guess I'm not the first.
NEVERRR again food is horrible !!! To high and they don’t give you enough food 5pc wigs & fries $13.99 to top it off the so call “ Java sauce “ taste just like PERRY WINGS won’t get my money no more first and LAST time !!!!! The macaroni and cheese bland out this worlddddd wings have no season just Java sauce on them
Came here for the first time and it was horrible! This plate was 20 dollars I first asked if they would be whole wings and I was told yes and as you see they are not. Furthermore upon leaving after a 40 minute wait I bit a wing and noticed the chicken was spoiled. I immediately threw up while driving. I was offered a full refund after I returned and complained. Definitely a place I will never go back to.
When i say i love this place? You have to try the shrimp and grits. My son had the tenders dinner and all of it was made to perfection. My only complaint is that i have to travel so far. Please open up another location in West Palm Beach
I bought the chicken breast dinner I always ask are your greens fresh or can she replied our greens always fresh she lied of coarse I didn’t see not one ham hock nor smoke turkey wing in it the rice no taste the yams was the only thing good and I just had a plain chicken breast no sauce in that case I could’ve had Popeyes or kfc NEVER AGAIN and that big conch fritters is a vegetable fritters. NEVER AGAIN.
we waited over a hour for our food and it wasn't hot. the greens had too much vinegar, the sweet potatoes looked old, chicken wasnt seasoned or cooked hard as we requested. the only thing that good was the jive juice. sorry was looking for a good soulfood restaurant plus we are from st. Louis and we know how soulfood is suppose to taste.

We were to try something new and came for lunch as soon the place open. Ky the manager greeted us with the greatest customer service, and was very polite and attentive. We ordered shrimp and grits and the veggie platter, all the food was delicious, hot, well seasoned and even the dessert was excellent. We left fully satisfied. Can't wait to return soon. Thank you Ky‼️
