I love Sushi, and I have always had Sushi in good places. Today Sushi Maki ? won the Gold medal. We sat at the Suchi bar and I felt like I was at a theme park and riding all night on Sushi spectacular and fresh plates! The chefs Van and Vince where amazing, their presentations are beautiful and they give you a warm customer service touch besides the waitress Jin, she was great!The manager Thomas was cool and professional to make us feel so welcome. We will definitely come back. Awesome place! My favorite Sushi plate today was the "Calle 8" with sweet plantain OMGoodness ?
We absolutely LOVE Sushi Maki, the manager Thomas, is awesome and makes you feel just like at home. What we loved best about Thomas, was how he explained so many details about Sushi, ways to eat it, about the making and much more, that's amazing, things we had no idea!. Jinet was great as our waitress, patient and super sweet. Last I would like to mentioned the Chef Vince, OMG he makes Sushi taste better than ever and looking so BEAUTIFUL!!!!We will be coming often to this location! CONGRATS to the awesome team! ?
They were amazing. We always get takeout but on a Saturday night we decided to eat out. We got there at 8:30 with seven people. They were full. They said no problem give us a few minutes. They put a table together for us. All smiles great service and great food. Everyone from manager to waitress were great. Kudos to this great team. Thai doughnuts, sushi nachos, sushi tacos, sashimi, Whole Foods, rainbiw roll and teriyaki steak platter all were delicious, along with bubble tea, a great hit.
Came with my family after a long trip and was treated with great hospitality Tomas was very pleasant and treated us incredibly sushi bar was better than any words can describe.The good from kitchen was incredible our chef Chris came out when we respected to speak to the chef to thank him and was very happy to be there over all amazing experience
Thia place is amazing!!!! I wish they were in SC.Everyone was so nice and helpful and the sushi and poke bowl with cauliflower rice was outstanding! Chrystal R was our server and gave us superior customer service.... if you want top notch sushi and a great atmosphere go check them out!!! You won't be disappointed..
I don’t usually write a critical review.. but the food was so bad that it’s just unacceptable. The crispy calamari had absolutely no flavor, if it wasn’t for the spicy tuna sauce we might as well have been eating styrofoam. The dragon roll was barely cooked. The dough on the fried appetizers tasted old, and the pad Thai was chewy, poorly seasoned, and the shrimp raw. Honestly, there has to be some quality control. Lastly, their online ordering system defaults to 15% tip even if you’re picking up. I adjusted it to $5 but after adding the payment card information they changed it back to 15% and I didn’t realize it until after the payment was made. If you want to eat good sushi.. don’t order from here.
I see most comments have the same complained.... I ordered online for delivery and I was very disappointed, this place has extremely tiny portions,the rolls are super small. ridiculous portions including the amount of pickle ginger that I paid extra for....only 1 small and thin layers like a joke......ridiculous... the supermarket sushi portions are the norm, imagine 1/2 of that was what i got. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN...low quality and end up hungry after a $90 order for 3 people... wowManager Clau... my humbled opinion, don't put the same replies as you have done to all the comments below..... all your answers are exactly the same but people keeps complaining.... instead make changes on this branch before it goes down.... unfortunately that place needs it.
Another horrible experience. Called in order, waited over an hour at noon on a Sunday....not rush hour for restaurants. Went in again paid and asked to bring out when ready. 20 minutes later went in again and still not ready.
Very disappointed by the hostess' professionalism. When I arrived, I let her know I was there waiting to pick up an order I placed via post-mates. She let me know she was waiting on one thing and told me she'll bring it out to me when it's ready. It was then 15 minutes before closing time (30 minutes from when i checked in on the order) when I decided to prompt her to see what was taking the order an additional half hour to be ready. Turns out, SHE PLACED THE ORDER ON THE TAKE OUT SHELVES knowing I was outside. I had given her my name, where i ordered from, and told her to wave me in if the order was ready.. Wonderful way to spend the holiday- waiting for cold food that is not good reheated. I regret leaving the tip before picking up the order. That was the absolute last time I'm ordering from this place.
I come here very often and I want everyone to know that Claudia is the best manager that I've ever dealt with in any restaurant. They are lucky to have her. Food is always fresh and good but again the staff makes it more worth the while
