In a world of trendy Asian-fusion joints, Poke Bowls and Bento Boxes, it's nice to know that tasty and affordable traditional (Westernized) Chinese restaurants like this still exist. I am a big fan of their combo meals like Shrimp and Lobster Sauce, Pork Fried Rice, Egg Roll (with pork and shrimp), and Won Ton Soup. But they have all the Cantonese favorites here, as well as great Dim Sum.
18 years we've done business with South Garden and both service and food have always been excellent. Today the owners Sister answered the phone and beside not understanding my question snapped back that we can take our business somewhere else. When I tired to explain what I was saying she just repeated "You order from somewhere else" I was absolutely shocked!!!Well - we will take our business somewhere else!!! And if YOU continue to treat people like this YOU might as well lock your doors for good. Perhaps the Owner should fired his Sister to save his business.No, I would no longer recommend South Garden to anyone!!!
The best thing about this restaurant is the consistency. I eat a lot of Chinese food and always come back to this one. The same guy has been running it for years and has upheld the same manner of quality. The food is always very good and for years they have never messed up an order.

Back to the restaurant today, Dimsum is still tasty and reasonable price. The waitress recognized us, shes so friendly. I will take my mother to celebrate her birthday next to weeks.One of my favorite restaurant for dim sum. Reasonable price and good service.Weekend is better since they will roll the carts full of dumplings for customer to select.
It is so awsome to leave a 5 star review! Chinese food don't right. I ordered the beef with ginger and onions. Oh my yum... it's was cooked perfect, the beef was tender and juicy. The menu was full of great dishes all reasonably priced.
Cheap eats. Dim sum above average. Service was good too no complaints here.

This is one of the top 2 Chinese restaurants that we eat from. If our family is willing to make the drive (about 45 minutes), it's worth the drive. If we want something closer, then we have another go-to place. There food is very good because they are very generous with the ingredients that they use. They don't use tiny pieces of vegetables, but instead use full size pieces of all the variety vegetables in their rice and lo mein. Their vegetable spring rolls are excellent as well. I highly recommend them!
